DASA 2026 refund policy describes the refunding of tuition fee to NRI, OCI, PIO and Foreign National students who are participating in DASA seat allocation process.
Students and parents should be aware of the refund rules before making the DASA Enrolment Fee payment. The registration fee is non-refundable but the tuition fee may be fully/partially refunded or not refunded at all depending upon the counselling status of the candidate.

The registration fee of US$300 for DASA 2026 is non-refundable. The tuition fee shall be fully refunded, 50% refunded or not refunded depending on whether the student exits, withdraws, does not get a seat, fails to report or violates eligibility conditions.

Full Tuition Fee Refund In DASA 2026
A candidate may receive a full tuition fee refund in the following cases:

This means if a student does not get a seat or exits from the process as per official rules, the tuition fee portion may be refunded. However, the US$300 registration fee remains non-refundable.
50% Tuition Fee Refund In DASA 2026
A candidate may receive only 50% of the tuition fee in the following cases:

Refund For CIWG Candidates
Candidates from the CIWG who want to be considered for CIWG as well as Non-CIWG seats pay the same initial fee as candidates from DASA Non-SAARC.
If such a candidate finally gets admission under CIWG category then the balance tuition fee amount is refunded as per DASA rules.

CIWG students should upload correct parent work proof, visa, work permit and related documents to avoid verification problems.
Refund For Students Who Participated In JoSAA
Students can also apply through JoSAA and DASA. If a student has a seat retained in NIT+ through JoSAA and gets a new seat through DASA, the earlier retained seat may get cancelled automatically as per the official process.
In such cases, the balance amount will be refunded after adjustment as per DASA rules.
Students and parents should know about it well before participating in both JoSAA and DASA rounds.

Mode Of DASA Refund
The DASA refund will be processed to the bank account furnished by the candidate at the time of fee payment. The refunds can be initiated through banking channels like NEFT, RTGS, SWIFT or any other mode as applicable depending on the candidate’s bank account or country.
Students who use an international bank account must make sure that the SWIFT code, IBAN number and bank address are correct.
