Since the 1990s, the era when engineering started to become the most appealing career option for any Indian, the popularity of engineering courses has been increasing.
Each year lakhs of people in India appear for engineering entrance exams, such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), with hopes to get into the best government engineering colleges of the country.
Eligible candidates need to appear for an entrance examination for the respective college to be able to pursue a course at that college. Most colleges accept JEE Main scores for undergraduate courses.
