Follow these tips for DASA/CIWG Preparation
1) Smart Planning is Significant to Study Well
Creating a strategy is the first and primary thing you should do before anything else. Time must be your asset and not a liability. Organize your day, and give weightage to individual subjects.
Effective time management is important and would prepare you psychologically.
Frame a plan on a piece of paper and stick it on your study table. Never burden yourself exponentially and beyond your abilities; although, it is desirable to push yourself now and then to test your strengths. Take breaks after long hours of study and refresh your mind for a fresh start later.
2) Have a Proper Understanding of Fundamentals and Theory
Having a clear understanding of the basics involved in all the chapters; is the key to success in both exams.
The fundamental concepts of every topic remain the same. Since both exams have an alike syllabus, you can comprehend the working of a concept easily.

3) Don’t miss any Topic in the Syllabus
A student does not have the bonus of missing out on a single topic while preparing for board exams and JEE. Since JEE requires a minimum percentage in board exams to appear for the JEE, one cannot afford a chance of leaving out a single topic.
A brief look at the previous year's question papers for both exams will give you a clue that all topics are covered, and it is essential to prepare for everything. If you are struggling with hard topics, consult a teacher or a friend.
The syllabus for both exams is almost similar. JEE does include tougher applications of concepts, but the fundamentals remain the same. Refer to the official website for JEE and make sure you have the correct syllabus.
4) Revise Well for Effective Preparation
No preparation is complete without revision. A revision can make or break your probability of securing a better seat and a better score. It is advisable to review after completing a topic.
The revision will help you evaluate your abilities better and make you more confident.
Rank your goals and assign more time to the chapters that have a higher weightage in JEE. It is advisable to write the theoretical answers while revising to get an idea of the board exams.
5) Get Acquainted With the Latest Exam Pattern
Board exams and JEE highly are in contrast with each other in the way they are conducted. Preparing for both exams at the same time can be challenging. JEE is an objective exam with multiple-choice questions, while the board exams are subjective type.
Bridge the gap by assigning weightage to each of the exams. Practice application of concepts and numerical questions for IIT more, and be more theory-oriented for board exams.

6) Practice Mock Papers
Practicing mock papers and previous year's papers will inform you of the character of both exams. Be firm on the clock and refrain from distractions.
It is wise to practice the previous year's board exam papers to help you prepare better. Always practice mock papers in full spirit and treat them like an actual exam to get the maximum advantage. Assess your performance and then work on your weaker areas.
If you are significantly lacking in one of the topics, then assign more time to it and consult a teacher if you are not able to grasp the same.

Answer: Yes, DASA Scheme as well as its subset (the CIWG Scheme) will be available for admissions in the academic year 2025-26.
By applying under this scheme, students can take admissions in NITs, IIITs, CFIs & SPAs. The only difference from 2021 is that JEE Main Rank will be considered valid, not SAT 2.
The eligibility criteria for DASA 2025 & CIWG 2025 will remain the same as it is for 2024. There are no changes in the eligibility criteria yet announced officially by DASA. Visit here, to check your DASA Eligibility.
Answer: NRI, PIO, OCI Students who are in grade 11th (in 2024) and will be appearing for grade 12th final exams in 2025, are eligible for JEE 2025 to apply under the DASA 2025.
Question 4: Is JEE Mandatory from DASA 2025 onwards’ a final & official circular?
Answer: Because DASA released this notification on its official website (https://dasanit.org/). There is a 100% chance that this notification is a final one.
No detailed circular has been released as of now but as soon as any such updates arrive, you can find them on our website.
Answer: This is completely unpredictable. But there seems to be less chance that it will be withdrawn. The NRI, PIO, and OCI Students who wish to apply for DASA / CIWG 2023 (& years after 2021) must start preparing for JEE Main.
Answer: No changes have been made in the qualifying exam criteria for DASA 2025. Students must have a minimum of 60%, or equivalent, in Grade 12 Exams (of their respective boards) & must have successfully completed Maths, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in Grade 11th & 12th.
Answer: The applicants must be thoroughly aware of the syllabus & pattern i.e. revolving around the NCERT textbooks for class 11th & 12th.
This is because JEE Syllabus is based on the NCERT Textbooks. The students must also practice using various reference books /online test series/ JEE coaching online/ mock tests/ previous years papers in order to crack JEE 2025 for applying under DASA 2025 or CIWG 2025.
Answer: The JEE cutoff varies every year because of the percentile system. Hence, the exact cut off cannot be mentioned. Every year, JEE cutoff is announced at the time of JEE Result Declaration & it is valid only for that particular year.
Answer: Based on the tough competition students have in India, it is very necessary for students to make extra efforts to clear JEE Main or Advanced. In India, when science students enter grade 11th, they take up tuitions or coaching to help them prepare for JEE Main.
Because the JEE Syllabus is based on NCERT Textbooks which are used in Grade 11th & 12th, it also helps them prepare for their school exams/board exams. Ideally, 2 years of JEE preparation (coaching, previous 40 years of questions practice, test series) is needed for students who want to clear JEE Main.
Hence, it is highly recommended for NRI, PIO, OCI Students to take JEE Coaching if they wish to secure a seat in NITs, IIITs, CFIs or SPAs under DASA / CIWG Scheme 2025.
