KVPY Application Procedure
Every year KVPY application process takes place in the month of July and August. There are few important points that should be kept in mind before filling up KVPY form.
Documents required while filling up the KVPY Application Form
1. Valid Email ID and Contact number of the candidate.
2. Academic documents as per the KVY eligibility criteria.
3. Scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature.
4. Credit card or debit card details for Online Payment of KVPY Application Fee.
Instructions for filling KVPY Application Form
1. KVPY application form is available online and no offline mode is available.
2. Candidates must check the KVPY eligibility criteria before filling up the application form.
3. All the academic and personal document must be kept ready while filling up online application form.
4. The KVPY application form should be kept till the declaration of final result and final selection of students.
5. Any candidates whose application would be found incomplete or ineligible at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled right away as per IISc Bengaluru.
Steps for filling up the KVPY 2018 Application Form
There are three main steps involved to complete KVPY application successfully. A detailed explanation of the same has been given below
Step1: Registration
1. Visit the KVPY Official Website
2. Click on the tab ‘Online Application for KVPY 2018’.
3. Click on the tab ‘Click here for Registration’.
4. Enter your personal details such as Name, Date of Birth, current education status, Stream, Nationality and Citizenship, E-mail id and Mobile Number for Registration.
5. Click on the tab ‘Submit’.
6. Upon successful registration you will receive your ‘User Id’ and ‘Password’ on the registered Mobile Number and Email id.
7. Note down the User Id and Password for further reference.
Step 2: Log in & Filling the KVPY Application Form
1. Login with your ‘User Id’ & ‘Password’.
2. Enter your personal details, academic details, and exam centre preference.
3. Upload your Scanned Photograph, Signature, and Caste/Disability Certificate (If applicable).
4. Review all the details before submitting the application. To review the application form, click on the tab ‘Preview Application’.
5. Click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
Note: Maximum size of the Photograph and Signature should not exceed 80 KB (JPEG/JPG) and Caste Certificate size should not exceed 300 KB (JPEG/JPG/PDF).
Step 3: Fee Payment
1. Re-login with your ‘User Id’ and ‘Password’.
2. Select the payment mode i.e. Offline (Challan) mode or Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
3. After paying the fee, click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
4. A message will be displayed on top of the Application Form saying, ‘your application is under scrutiny’.
Note: The scrutiny of the application will take minimum of two working days from the time of successful submission of the application.

Application Status
1. A candidate can check the application status after two days using the same login id and password.
2. He will receive a message on the top saying ‘Your application is successfully submitted’ or ‘Your application has been approved’.
3. Take out a print of the application form for future reference.
