About 800 hours · Start in Grade 11
Use this when both NEET years must be taught in order if AIIMS is a long-horizon target.
View course detailsThe 2026 MCC framework does not list a separately labelled NRI quota for AIIMS MBBS. Families searching “AIIMS NRI quota” usually mix three different things.
Where the student or parent lives. It changes documents and other NRI-seat options. It does not reserve an AIIMS seat.
A seat the counselling authority labels as NRI-category. AIIMS is not that college just because an NRI can apply.
A different route. AIIMS Delhi’s 2026 Round 1 matrix listed 7 such seats. MCC limits them to eligible OCI, PIO and foreign-national candidates.
Do not plan around the phrase “AIIMS NRI seat.” First fix the student’s citizenship or OCI status. Then open the live MCC matrix and read the quota names as written.
MCC Round 1 in 2026 ran in early August. AIIMS choices sit inside MCC, on Indian Standard Time. Later rounds can still move. Recheck the live MCC dashboard before you book a non-refundable flight.
| Round 1 activity | MCC 2026 window | USA family action |

| Registration | 5 to 12 August 2026, to 3:00 PM IST | Register early. Confirm the mobile and email used for OTPs. |
| Payment | To 12 August 2026, 6:00 PM IST | Do not leave an international card problem for the last hour. |
| Choice filling | 6 to 13 August 2026, to 11:00 AM IST | Rank AIIMS by real preference, not by a predicted allotment. |
| Choice locking | 12 August 4:00 PM to 13 August 11:00 AM IST | Save a copy of the locked list. |

| Reporting / joining | 18 to 22 August 2026 | Originals and India travel need to be ready before the result, not after. |
The current Round 1 matrix made the split unusually clear. Confirm later rounds on MCC. Numbers below are the 2026 Round 1 reading families used.
| Seat type | 2026 Round 1 seats | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Open Seat Quota | 125 | The main AIIMS Delhi pool under the central reservation roster. “Open Seat Quota” is not 125 unreserved General seats. |
| Foreign Country Quota | 7 | A distinct Foreign National route. It is not an NRI quota. |
| NRI Quota | Not listed | NRI status by itself does not create a reserved AIIMS MBBS seat. |
| Category in MCC | Seats (including PwD) | Split |
|---|---|---|
| Open / UR | 50 | 48 non-PwD + 2 PwD |
| OBC-NCL | 33 | 31 non-PwD + 2 PwD |
| EWS | 13 | 12 non-PwD + 1 PwD |
| SC | 19 | 18 non-PwD + 1 PwD |
| ST | 10 | 10 non-PwD |
| Total Open Seat Quota | 125 | Central reservation roster applies |
No. MCC asked OCI and NRI candidates in 2026 to complete NRI document verification where NRI eligibility applies. After that, eligible candidates can see NRI seats and Indian Unreserved seats available to them. It does not rewrite the AIIMS matrix.
Establish NRI-category eligibility where those seats actually exist, and change which genuine NRI choices appear.
Turn an AIIMS Open Seat Quota seat into an NRI seat, or invent a reservation that is not in the AIIMS structure.
Still complete it if you want NRI seats at other MCC colleges as backups. Status rules sit on the NRI / OCI / PIO eligibility page.
Do not ask “are NRIs allowed?” Match the student to the legal status MCC will read.
| Situation | Can AIIMS be considered? | Separate NRI seat? | What matters most |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indian citizen living in the USA as an NRI | Yes, if eligible | No | NEET, MCC eligibility, AIR, reservation category, AIIMS choices |
| US citizen / Indian-American with OCI | Potentially, under current OCI rules | No | OCI papers and the AIIMS seat types MCC shows as eligible |
| PIO / OCI who may use Foreign National seats | Potentially | No | Current Foreign National rules. Do not call this an NRI quota |
| Foreign national without OCI / PIO | Potentially on an eligible Foreign National route | No | Foreign qualification, NEET, passport and current AIIMS conditions |
| Indian resident applicant | Yes, if eligible | Not applicable | NEET AIR, category and MCC choices |
Yes, if the student meets current NEET and AIIMS eligibility. The US diploma cover is not the file. Subjects, labs, citizenship or OCI papers, and any equivalence have to fit the route they will actually use.
AP, Honors, IB or a state diploma can look nothing like an Indian Class 12 marksheet. Review the science sequence early. The American curriculum eligibility page is the subject-level check.
No. NEET UG 2026 listed no city in the United States. A US-based student picks an Indian or other listed overseas city on the live form, then plans passport validity, school absence and travel. AIIMS does not run a separate US paper.
The form-and-travel sequence is on the USA apply-and-sit page. Centre lists for a later year sit on the exam-centres blog until that landing page is built.
There is no secret AIIMS application beside MCC. For the usual allotted pathway, the order is this.
MCC changed the 2026 workflow. For a family in the USA, the willingness click can decide whether someone has to fly immediately.
Keep the allotted seat. No upgrade. The 2026 bulletin said candidates who join under this route must visit the institute physically.
Keep the seat in play for a higher-preference choice in the next eligible round. Follow the live online willingness and upload rules for that round.
A student in California cannot assume every post-allotment step is remote. Build a travel-ready folder before the result, then read that round’s reporting note before you choose.
The reporting list can change by status and round. Keep three folders. Do not treat a generic NRI checklist as the final AIIMS instruction.
Valid passport. OCI or PIO card if that is the status. NRI evidence where relevant. Date-of-birth proof.
Class 10 records. Class 12 or US high-school records. NEET scorecard. Equivalence if that route needs it.
MCC allotment letter. Category certificate if used. Photographs. Originals the allotted AIIMS asks for.
Older prospectuses help you understand institutional language. They are not enough for a 2026 counselling decision. Match the latest MCC Information Bulletin, the live seat matrix, AIIMS eligibility notes and the reporting notice.
This matters most for Foreign Country seats. The 2026 MCC bulletin said that fee is set by AIIMS authorities, not by an old USD figure copied from a previous year.
The phrase “AIIMS NRI quota fee” is misleading. There is no separate NRI seat and no special NRI tuition slab.
| Route | Special NRI fee? | How to treat 2026 fees |
|---|---|---|
| Indian-citizen NRI on an eligible Open Seat Quota seat | No | Pay the institutional fee for that allotted AIIMS seat. Confirm the live amount at reporting. |
| Eligible Foreign Country / Foreign National seat | Not an NRI fee slab | MCC 2026 said AIIMS authorities set this fee. Confirm before you transfer money. |
TestPrepKart does not quote the older USD 75,000 Foreign National figure as the 2026 fee. That number sat in older material. The current bulletin does not tell families to use it.
There is no separate AIIMS NRI cutoff because there is no separate AIIMS NRI seat pool. An NRI competing for Open Seat Quota should track the closing AIR for that category, campus and round.
Marks-to-rank maps change every year. A fixed marks number from an older season is how families get a false sense of safety.
| Question | AIIMS New Delhi | Other AIIMS |
|---|---|---|
| Separate NRI quota? | No | Do not assume one. Read the live matrix. |
| 2026 Open Seat Quota | 125 in the Round 1 matrix | Varies by campus. MCC applies the AIIMS roster. |
| Foreign Country route | 7 seats in the 2026 Round 1 matrix | Do not copy Delhi’s number onto another campus. |
| Counselling authority | MCC | MCC for 100% of AIIMS MBBS seats |
| How to shortlist | Treat Delhi as a high-competition preference and rank it honestly | Use AIR, category, campus and past closing-rank movement |
Be careful if someone sells an “AIIMS NRI management seat,” “direct NRI admission,” “donation seat” or a guaranteed allotment outside MCC.
MCC allots by merit and choice. It does not allot AIIMS seats by private nomination through an agent. Use the official counselling route that matches the candidate.
AIIMS should be one layer of the list, not the whole plan. Keep aspirational AIIMS choices if you want them, and build routes the student can actually use.
| Backup layer | Why it may matter | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Other AIIMS campuses | Closing ranks move by campus and category | NRI status does not add an extra AIIMS pool |
| JIPMER | Another nationally competitive MCC route | Do not assume JIPMER has a separate NRI quota in 2026 |
| Other government / open seats | Can widen rank-based choices where eligibility fits | Not every government college offers NRI seats |
| Deemed / private NRI seats | A genuine NRI-category backup where those seats exist | Eligibility, papers and fees differ widely |
Compare JIPMER NRI quota 2026 before you add it as if it were the same as AIIMS.
These are counselling situations TestPrepKart sits with. They are not rank promises.
Indian passport, US school, very strong AIR. Eligible Open Seat Quota choices can go on the list. NRI status adds no extra AIIMS reservation. Rank by AIR, category and campus.
OCI is not an NRI quota. The family checks current OCI treatment and whether MCC shows a Foreign National choice for that student.
AIIMS stays as an aspirational preference. NRI verification is finished so genuine NRI seats elsewhere stay visible. That is more useful than treating AIIMS as the only acceptable outcome.
For a student in the United States, the class and the counselling file have to run together. Time zone, travel and papers make this different from an India-only application.
| Work | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Eligibility review | US curriculum, citizenship, OCI or NRI papers before choices are locked |
| NEET class | NCERT Physics, Chemistry and Biology beside the US school week |
| Rank-based choices | Separate dream AIIMS rows from realistic and paid-backup rows |
| Counselling readiness | MCC dates, Freeze / Float and reporting from abroad |
| Travel folder | Originals, scans and an India buffer before a short reporting window |
The plan has to sit beside AP, IB or Honors and a US evening. Hours are teaching hours, not an AIIMS promise. Confirm the live price on the course grid.

No. There is no separately labelled MBBS NRI quota. Eligible candidates compete through the AIIMS seat types and reservation categories MCC shows them.
Zero seats labelled NRI quota in the 2026 Round 1 matrix. AIIMS New Delhi showed 125 Open Seat Quota seats and 7 Foreign Country Quota seats.
Yes, if the student meets NEET, MCC and AIIMS eligibility and wins an eligible seat on merit. NRI status itself is not an AIIMS reservation.
No. MCC labels them Foreign Country Quota. Foreign National seats are for eligible OCI, PIO and foreign-national candidates.
Subject to current NEET, MCC, Government of India and AIIMS rules. Use the seat types MCC shows as eligible. Do not assume an OCI or NRI quota.
No. It can open genuine NRI choices where those seats exist. It does not convert AIIMS Open Seat Quota into an NRI quota.
There is no separate NRI fee because there is no separate NRI seat. For Foreign National seats, MCC 2026 said AIIMS authorities set the fee. Confirm before reporting.
No separate NRI cutoff. Track closing AIR by category, campus and round.
AIIMS is possible for an eligible NRI, OCI or Indian-American student. NRI status is not the strategy. Identify the exact status, sit NEET, use MCC correctly, and judge AIIMS against the real AIR. If the rank makes AIIMS unlikely, keep the dream row if you want it and finish the backup list before the next deadline.
