Rank figures are historical 2026 results, not admission guarantees for another year.
No separate NRI-sponsored MBBS seats are offered by MCC in the regular AIIMS colleges. The eligible NRI applies in the NEET UG category in which the NRI is legally eligible to apply, like Open, OBC, EWS, SC, or ST, wherever permissible. The foreign-nation seat is another entry option.
The highest All India Rank at which a seat is filled for a given college, category, quota and counselling round is referred to as NEET cut-off rank. It should not be confused with the minimum NEET qualification percentage, number of marks required in all AIIMS colleges or guaranteeing admission.
| Term | How NRI Families Should Interpret It |
|---|---|
| NEET qualifying cutoff | Minimum percentile/score to qualify for eligibility, not enough by itself for an AIIMS MBBS seat. |
| College closing AIR | Last allotted NEET All India Rank in the exact quota, category and round. |
| Category | Open, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwBD subcategories have different allotment results. |
| Round-wise result | Each round redistributes seats through upgrades, withdrawals and vacancies. A later round can close at a better or worse rank. |
| Foreign Country Quota | Separate from ordinary AIIMS NRI admissions. Review the current MCC rules before applying. |
The tables use published 2026 MCC counselling results. They cover all 21 AIIMS campuses that appeared in the referenced institute-wise MBBS cutoff lists. A dash (—) means there was no corresponding category-wise closing rank in the published extract; it does not mean zero seats or a rank of zero.
The highest All India Rank at which a seat is filled for a given college, category, quota and counselling round is referred to as NEET cut-off rank. It should not be confused with the minimum NEET qualification percentage, number of marks required in all AIIMS colleges or guaranteeing admission.

MCC published a separate Final Allotment Result for the 2026 Stray Vacancy Round. This is not a blanket fourth-round rank for every AIIMS college: only institutes and categories with actual allotments have a rank. The official result is organized by candidate rank and allotment, not a universal 21-college closing-rank chart.
Examples below are actual individual Open-category seat allotment ranks visible in the official stray result, not guaranteed college-wise final closing ranks. Use the complete MCC stray result to find the highest allotted rank for each college and eligible category.
| AIIMS college | 2026 stray allotment AIR (Open seat / Open category) | How to interpret |
|---|---|---|
| AIIMS Bhubaneswar | 3,782 | A recorded stray-round Open-category allotment. |
| AIIMS Gorakhpur | 4,021 | A recorded Open-category allotment; other-category allotments also occurred. |
| AIIMS Rae Bareli | 6,336 | A recorded Open-category allotment. |
| AIIMS Rajkot | 6,967 | A recorded Open-category allotment. |
| AIIMS Guwahati | 8,173 | A recorded Open-category allotment. |
| AIIMS Deoghar | 8,481 | A recorded Open-category allotment. |
As far as the stray result of 2026 is concerned, the best rank that has been mentioned in the AIIMS open category allotment is AIR 11,579, and this number is the overall result of all AIIMS.
AIIMS, New Delhi is highly competitive. The Round 1 Open category for the year 2026, as per the announcement, had a closing NEET All India Rank of 51. The category-wise Round 1 closing ranks are: EWS - 292, OBC – 192, SC - 793, and ST - 987.
| Category | 2026 Round 1 closing AIR | Later main rounds |
|---|---|---|
| Open | 51 | No separately reported Open-General closing rank in Round 2 or Round 3. |
| EWS | 292 | Review the MCC round-specific result. |
| OBC-NCL | 192 | Review the MCC round-specific result. |
| SC | 793 | PwBD allotments in later rounds do not define an ordinary SC cutoff. |
| ST | 987 | Review the MCC round-specific result. |
AIIMS New Delhi also has a Foreign Country Quota in its 2026 seat matrix. It should not be described as a general NRI seat pool. An Indian passport holder living in the USA is not automatically a foreign-national seat candidate.
AIIMS Jodhpur finished at AIR 281 and AIIMS Madurai finished at AIR 4,845 among Open-category AIIMS Round 3 cutoffs in the compilation for 2026. In the case of AIIMS New Delhi Open-General, its Round 1 cutoff is already listed; therefore, it cannot be considered less competitive only because it does not have Round 3 Open-General cutoffs.
Rank movement is not always one-directional: AIIMS Nagpur closed at AIR 792 in Round 1 and AIR 715 in Round 3, while AIIMS Rajkot changed from AIR 2,039 to AIR 2,923. This is why a student should study college-wise and category-wise allotments rather than relying on a single broad “AIIMS cutoff” score.
| Student situation | What cutoff to use |
|---|---|
| Indian-citizen NRI living in the USA | Use NEET AIR and applicable Open/reserved category in MCC; there is no extra NRI rank concession for general AIIMS seats. |
| OCI cardholder | Verify the current NEET/MCC OCI category eligibility and then use the specific applicable quota and category. |
| Foreign passport holder | Check the foreign-national eligibility and seat matrix independently; do not assume every AIIMS has foreign-national places. |
| Student on H-4/L-2 or Green Card with Indian passport | Visa/residency abroad alone does not create a special AIIMS quota; check educational and nationality criteria. |
| Indian-American student with US high-school qualifications | Confirm NEET eligibility, mandatory subjects, qualifying certificates and any equivalence documents before relying on rank cutoffs. |
For more guidance, read AIIMS Eligibility for NRI Students, NEET Eligibility for NRI Students, and American Curriculum Eligibility for NEET.
Plan your NEET test date, target AIR and weekly subject practice alongside U.S. high-school coursework.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| Confirm nationality and NEET eligibility | Check Indian/OCI/foreign-national status and accepted school qualifications. |
| Note your NEET All India Rank | Use AIR rather than an unofficial marks-to-rank estimate. |
| Choose the correct seat category | Compare Open, EWS, OBC, SC, ST or PwBD only where legally applicable. |
| Open the MCC seat matrix | Check institute-wise category seat availability for the current round. |
| Compare Round 1, 2 and 3 historical ranks | Use the 2026 reference tables to understand competitiveness, not to forecast exact allotment. |
| Submit choices in genuine preference order | Do not omit a preferred AIIMS merely because a prior year closed narrowly ahead of your rank. |
| Track round-wise allotment and reporting | Use official MCC notices for result dates, documents and reporting instructions. |

These student stories show how learners managed NEET preparation while attending school outside India. For NRI families checking eligibility, the practical lesson is to run the academic-document review and NEET preparation in parallel.
Select an appropriate NEET preparation program depending on the grade of the student, Physics Chemistry Biology base of the student, study load while studying abroad and the NEET syllabus left. For NRIs, an appropriate program is one which is compatible with a U.S, IB, Cambridge or international school curriculum.

These result boards show NEET outcomes from students preparing outside India. They are useful preparation references and should not be treated as proof of eligibility for every admission route.
No. There is no universal NRI quota for the MBBS seat cut-off in AIIMS. Overseas Indians who are eligible apply under the real MCC quota that applies to them.
The 2026 Round 1 Open category closing All India Rank was 51. This is a historical cutoff, not a guaranteed admission threshold.
No. Cutoffs vary by college, category, round, and seat availability. The full table covers 21 AIIMS campuses.
Living abroad does not create a special lower AIIMS cutoff. Admission depends on NEET AIR and the seat category for which the student is eligible.
No. A dash indicates no comparable category-wise cutoff reported in the cited round extract. The college may have filled seats earlier or allotted a different category.
Only when quota, category and campus are identical. Later rounds have different vacancy and upgrade patterns.
There is no single OCI-specific cutoff across AIIMS. Check the current MCC eligibility and seat category applicable to that student.
Foreign-national seats follow separate eligibility and category provisions. They must not be labeled NRI seats or merged with Open-category ranks.
MCC may run a stray vacancy round. Only campuses and categories with available seats have allotments; the published result does not give every AIIMS a universal fourth-round cutoff.
Twenty-one AIIMS MBBS institutes featured in the results table referred to for year 2026 main round category wise. CAPFIMS is separately dealt with since the CAPFIMS quota does not come under AIIMS open seat quota.
No. Qualifying NEET makes a candidate eligible to participate subject to all rules, while AIIMS admission typically requires a highly competitive All India Rank.
Potentially, if they meet the applicable NEET eligibility, qualifying-subject, citizenship and documentary rules. A US diploma alone is not an exemption from NEET.
