NRI-nationality candidates appeared in NEET UG 2026.
NTA published these ranges with the 16 July 2026 result. Use them as the last official floor while you plan 2027. A 2027 official cutoff does not exist until NTA releases that year’s result.
NRI-nationality candidates appeared in NEET UG 2026.
Of those, 451 qualified. Nationality does not create a separate percentile.
| Category | Percentile | Official 2026 marks |
|---|---|---|
| UR / EWS, including NRI candidates in these categories | 50th | 715-213 |
| OBC, including eligible NRI candidates | 40th | 212-177 |
| SC, including eligible NRI candidates | 40th | 212-177 |
| ST, including eligible NRI candidates | 40th | 212-177 |
| UR / EWS PwBD | 45th | 212-194 |
| OBC / SC PwBD | 40th | 193-177 |
| ST PwBD | 40th | 191-177 |
Confirm the live NTA result PDF before you quote a floor to a college. Category, not a US address, decides which row you use. Status papers sit on the NRI eligibility page.
These are planning ranges from past allotment patterns, not a 2027 guarantee and not an NTA table. AIR, the live seat matrix and the round matter more than a mark on a screenshot.
| College type | Planning range | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Top deemed universities | 530-590+ | MCC matrix, institute demand, round-wise closing rank |
| Mid-tier private medical colleges | 470-530+ | State NRI rules, seats, fees and document eligibility |
| Value-focused private or deemed options | 400-480+ | Later rounds, total cost, recognition |
| Government colleges with an NRI or other eligible row | 580-620+ | State brochure, domicile and category. See the government NRI atlas. |
Read your score as a planning position, then build reach, target and backup lists. Do not lock one college because a neighbour quoted a number.
Government or AIQ still depends on AIR and eligibility. Build a three-layer list across MCC and the states you can actually file.
Compare fees, clinical exposure and last closing ranks before you treat a campus as “safe.”
Register every counselling route that matches the papers. Keep later rounds open.
Prioritise verified NRI seats, the full fee and college quality. Ananya’s Atlanta case below sat in this band.
Widen the shortlist. Ask whether a repeat year is academically and financially better than a weak seat.
Families often treat the NTA floor as the college cutoff. They are different jobs. The admission path after the score is on the NRI quota admission page.
NTA releases it with the result. It only confirms you may enter counselling. NRI candidates use the category percentile, not a special NRI row.
MCC or a state creates it when seats are allotted. It changes by college, quota, round, fee and demand. You know it after the round, not on result day.
Round 1 closing ranks from 2024 and 2025 sit beside a 2026 planning range. The 2026 column is not an official allotment. AIR compares years better than marks.
| Institute | 2024 R1 close | 2025 R1 close | 2026 planning |

| MGM Medical College, Aurangabad | 761904 | 631193 | 600000-750000 |
A closing rank can jump a full lakh between years. Do not treat last year’s R1 as a 2027 lock. Read the live MCC or state allotment PDF for that round.
This is the official UR / EWS qualifying range, not a college admission cutoff. The last published official year is 2026.
Keep this table only so a 2025 scorecard is not read against the 2026 floor. Percentiles stayed the same. The mark band moved.
| Category | Percentile | Official 2025 marks |
|---|---|---|
| UR / EWS | 50th | 686-144 |
| OBC | 40th | 143-113 |
| SC | 40th | 143-113 |
| ST | 40th | 143-113 |

College-type planning ranges used with that 2025 floor: government NRI or other eligible routes 580-610+; private through state counselling 470-520+; deemed through MCC 520-570+.
Most states in the last published map sat in the same private and deemed bands. Repeating 32 near-identical rows does not help a parent. Use the shared band, then only the extras that change the shortlist.
Shared last-cycle band: private NRI about 470-520; deemed about 520-560. Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka deemed rows sat a little higher. Confirm the 2027 state or MCC notice before you treat a band as open.
| Where the map is not the shared band | Last published note |
|---|---|
| Delhi (NCT) | General planning 600+. Private NRI very limited. Deemed 540-580. |
| Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka | Deemed a notch higher (about 525-570). Government rules differ from private NRI. |
| Gandhi / Osmania, Hyderabad | Government route. Plan 580+, not the private NRI band. |
| Arunachal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, A&N | No NRI seats listed in the previous table. |
| Chandigarh | Rare or none. Verify the current notice. |
| Jammu and Kashmir / Ladakh | No direct NRI seats listed. Deemed options sit outside the UT. |
| Goa, Himachal, Sikkim | Private NRI limited or rare. Deemed was the usual fallback. |
Marks move when the paper moves. Prefer AIR and the live allotment. These rows are last published planning notes, not a 2027 brochure.
| College | 2024 NRI marks | 2025 planning |

View course detailsUS school science left gaps in NEET Biology, Chemistry and Physics. A TestprepKart diagnostic plan closed the largest holes and kept testing regular. She took an NRI-quota MBBS seat at a private college in Karnataka. The lesson: a 450-499 score needs the right state route, verified papers, a fee the family can pay, and a wide choice list. One year and one round will not copy this outcome.
A mark without a route is only a screenshot. TestprepKart sits the score next to last closings, the papers and the fee before choice filling starts.

There is no separate NTA NRI qualifying cutoff. Use the category row. Last official UR / EWS is 715-213 from NEET 2026. A 2027 official cutoff will appear only with that year’s result.
It is a mid-tier planning score for many private and some deemed options. It is not a government NRI lock. AIR, the fee and the round decide the seat.
No mark is safe until the allotment PDF. As a planning habit, 530+ is a stronger deemed band and 580+ is where most government NRI rows have sat.
No. Qualifying only opens counselling. Admission cutoff is the last rank that took that college, quota and round.
Often the NRI rank is later than the general rank at the same campus, because the fee is higher and the pool is smaller. It is not always lower, and government NRI rows can still sit high.
Only where a state listed an NRI row, or through AIQ on open merit. AIQ is not NRI quota. Open the government atlas before you assume a state seat.
No. Deemed NRI seats usually sit on MCC. Many private and government NRI seats sit on state portals. Missing a state login can drop a realistic college.
Yes. Later rounds can move a long way when a family drops a high-fee seat. Keep a backup list ready.
AIR. The same mark can mean a different rank when the paper shifts, as 2025 versus 2026 already showed.
No. Qualifying is the door. The seat needs a vacant NRI row, the papers, the fee and an AIR that still fits that college in that round.
Read the official qualify row. Then plan the college with AIR, not with 213.
