NTSE Exam Benefits
The NTSE Stand for National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a prestigious talent-based evaluation system designed for Class X students. The assessment is based on the syllabus of state and central education boards.
Getting NTSE from India is a pride of honour. NTSE is a national-level scholarship exam by the government of India. The NTSE exam is conducted two times every year in two levels. First one is state level and second one is national level.

Every year approximately 300000 students appear for the exam of which 1000 are awarded a scholarship, 775 being from the general quota.

NTSE Scholarship
The NTSE syllabus is based on the 9th and 10th standard syllabus. In the first level, the syllabus will be from the state level and the second level will be a national level. The exam will be of Multiple choice questions. The students are advised to revise every topic in Mathematics, science, social science, English, mental ability, and general knowledge.
NTSE Exam Pattern 2024
The NTSE paper is conducted in both Hindi and English medium. The candidate has to select one language. The question paper is divided into two sections mental ability test (MAT) and the scholastic ability test (SAT)

There is no negative marking. The correct answer will get 1 mark

The reserved category has to score 32% and the general category has to score 40 % marks to qualify for the test.

NTSE Reservation Criteria 2024
a) 15% is for the students belonging to SC category.
b) 7.5% for students belonging to the ST category.
c) 27% for students belonging to the OBC category.
d) 4% for Physically Challenged group of students,
- 1% each will be reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses:
- Blindness and low vision
- Deaf and hard of hearing
- Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.
-1% for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses:
- Autism, specific learning disability, intellectual disability and mental illness.
Apart from getting a special place in his/her C.V they also get the below-mentioned benefits:
1. The biggest advantage for the students who have cleared the NTSE exam is, they are eligible for an additional scholarship from the central government worth ₹500 per year.
2. An NTSE scholar students who opt to study further in Science and Social Science stream get scholarship up to doctorate level and students opting for professional courses get scholarship till postgraduate level.
3. When planning to study abroad or applying for a scholarship in US, the students who have cleared NTSE scholarship exam are preferred over other students, as the abroad universities and education institutes are aware of the scheme. They are aware that students with high intellectual skills and talent can only clear this exam.

About NTSE:
For those new to NTSE, here is some basic information for you. NTSE is a national level scholarship exam under NTS scheme in Indian since 1963. It spots and acknowledges students studying at the class X level with high intellectual and tutorial talent.
The scholarship scheme is awarded to candidates for pursuing courses in Humanities, Fine arts, Languages, Vocational Studies, Social Sciences, Sciences and Commerce up to doctoral level and in professional courses like management, law, engineering, medicines, and technology, up to second-degree level.
The examination is conducted in 2 stages.
1. 1st Stage is conducted at State Level by States and Union Territories
2. 2nd Stage is conducted at National Level by NCERT
