Candidates who will clear the JEE Main and Advanced 2024 Exam will be eligible to take part in the JEE Counseling 2024 for the seat allocation process in all the participating Colleges.
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will be the responsible authority to organize the JEE Counseling 2024 process for all the participating Institutions like IITs, ISM, NITs, IIITs, NSITs and other Centrally Funded Institutions of India (CFTI). There will be a total of 6 rounds in the JEE 2024 Counseling Procedure.

Additionally, candidates are required to remit the JEE Mains counseling fee during registration.
Step 2- Choice Filling: Following registration, candidates will proceed to fill in their preferences for institutes and courses. It is advisable to select a diverse range of choices to optimize admission prospects, ensuring completion within the specified timeframe.
Step 3- Mock Seat Allotment and Choice Locking: The administration conducts two mock seat allocation rounds to provide candidates with insights into potential seat assignments based on their preference list. What options will be available after JEE Main 2024 Seat Allotment?
After the completion of JEE Main seat allotment, candidates will encounter three options:
1. Freeze: Candidates content with the allocated seat and unwilling to partake in subsequent counselling rounds.
2. Float: Candidates content with their seat but seeking consideration for alternative institutes in subsequent allocation rounds.
3. Slide: Candidates who accept the allotted seat but remain open to admission into a higher preferred course within the same institute.
Step 5: Fulfillment of Seat Acceptance Fee Obligation: Successful candidates receiving seat allotments are required to remit the seat acceptance fee via e-challan or SBI net banking. It's important to note that the fee amount varies based on the candidate's category. Following the acceptance of the seat, candidates must proceed to the designated institute for document verification.
