University of Petroleum and Energy Studies CUPES) is a NAAC accredited university, which offers specialized programmes in various core sectors. The university conducts University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test CUPESEAT) for providing admissions to the Undergraduate Engineering programmes of the University.
The tuition fee plus academic service for B. Tech courses (total 8 semesters) comes to Rs.10,28,500.
According to the university, over 6,000 students have been recruited by more than 500 national and international companies since the programmes were launched. Right from the beginning, it
has kept a consistent track record.
Select companies that come to campus are Schlumberger, Halliburton, Shell India, Tata Consultancy Services, Cairn India Ltd, Accenture, Infosys, L & T, and many more.
UPES campus, which is also known as "Energy Acres", is spread across 42 acres of Pondha valley in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It has more than 600,000 sq ft. of built-up area with 100+ multimedia-enabled classrooms and 90 teaching and research labs. The university houses 5000+ students and 350+ faculty members on campus.
The university's College of Engineering Studies (CoES) offers B.Tech courses in over 20 disciplines with specialized programmes in Avionics, Petroleum Engineering, Energy Technology amongst others.
Counselling for UPESEAT will be conducted for the first phase in June, 2014. Counselling will be through a centralized process and candidates must attend it in person.
For Uttarakhand bonafide resident candidates:15% of seats in all programmes will be reserved on merit for Uttarakhand bonafide resident candidates. For Differently A bled Candidates: 3% of seats are reserved for differently abled candidates having minimum disability to the extent of 40 % subject to producing of a certificate from authorized Medical Doctor/Hospital indicating the extent of physical disability. If the seats remain vacant, then these will be treated as unreserved.
