JEE Exam Mode
JEE Exam is conducted in both offline and online ways. When the NRI candidate is filling a form at that time, they have to choose which JEE paper mode they choose as per their convenience. We have come up with some important information -:
JEE Paper -1 |
This is for candidates who are interested in taking Engineering stream, and mode of examination is an Online Mode or Computer-based test. |
JEE Paper-2 |
This test if for those candidates who are interested in going for the Architecture stream and mode of this examination is Online and Offline. |
JEE Paper-3 |
This test is conducted for those who are interested in going in B.Planning stream and mode of examinations is Online mode or Computer-based test. |
JEE Advanced |
This is another test which is conducted by JEE, and mode of examination is Online mode or Computer-based test. |
Exam Pattern of JEE Main 2021
To clear the JEE examination, students must know about the exact JEE Exam Pattern and JEE Paper Format. So in the next section, we will be going to bring you exact JEE exam pattern for all papers -:
JEE Main 2021 Paper-1 exam pattern
Subjects for Paper-1 Parts: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. |
In total, there will be 75 Number of Questions 25 questions from every section. |
The test will be conducted online through Computer Based Test Mode |
The total duration of the exam is 3hours, and the candidates who are having 40% disability will be given 4hours to complete the exam. |
All correct questions in this section carry four marks. |
The exam will be conducted in two languages, i.e. Hindi and English. Exam centres in Dadar & Diu, Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli have the option to get their exam in the Gujarati Language. |
MCQs which are answered incorrectly will lead to deduction of 1 mark from your marks. Whereas there will be no deduction of marks if numeric value question is answered incorrectly. Rest there will be no deduction marks if the question is left unanswered. |
JEE Main 2021 Paper-2 exam pattern
Subjects for Paper-2 Parts: Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing. |
This JEE Main Exam Paper 2 is organized in both Paper-Pen mode and Computer Based Test. Online questions are objective, and drawing Questions needs to be sketched offline. |
In total there will be 77 Number of Questions. 25 from Mathematics, 50 from Aptitude and two from Drawing. |

JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Pattern
JEE Advanced is a test which is conducted and for those candidates are eligible who have cleared their JEE Mains. Exam pattern and format is almost the same as of JEE Main,
But total numbers of questions in JEE Advanced are not fixed, as every year there is a surprise factor.

There is a difference in negative marking also; in some sections, for an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted whereas in some sections two marks are deducted. Rest there will be no deduction marks if a question is left unanswered. |
FAQ JEE Mode Of Examination:
Answer 1: While there will be no negative marking for numerical value questions in JEE MAINS, but -1 will be deducted for each wrong answer in MCQs. The total marks will be 300.
Answer2 :To qualify the entrance examination, the candidates will have to attempt both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE.
Answer 3 : JEE Main 2021 mock test will be released by NTA. Students can download the same from the official website whenever available. A candidate who does not have a computer system can walk to any of TPCs (Test Practice Centres) set up by NTA. The TPCs are functional on every Saturday and Sunday.
Answer 4 : The numerical value answers are done using the mouse and on screen virtual numeric keypad that is given in the test on the screen. Numerical questions have a numerical value as an answer and these have to be generally accurate to the point of 4 decimals in most exams. Unlike multiple choice questions, these answers need to be worked and calculated by students.
Answer 5 : In JEE Exams marking scheme for MCQ questions, candidates are allotted 4 marks for each correct answer and there is a negative marking of 1 marks for each incorrect answer. In case of numerical values, candidates are allotted 4 marks for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
