KEAM Entrance Exam is conducted by CEE (Commissioner of Entrance Examination). CEE only organizes the entrance exams for Engineering & Pharmacy courses in Kerala. For admissions into architecture courses, NATA Scores are considered & for Medical courses, NEET Rank is considered.

Although the CEE organizes CAP (Centralized Allotment Process) for all the following courses i.e.- Engineering, Pharmacy, Medical & Architecture.

KEAM Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria for Students:

Engineering Aspirants must satisfy the following criteria in order to be eligible for the KEAM Entrance Exam Engineering Entrance Exam:

Academic Eligibility For KEAM:

• Indian or NRI Candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary Level of Education (equivalent to Grade 12th). The Indian and NRI candidates who are in Grade 12th in the year of applying for the KEAM Entrance Exam Registration form can also take this exam. This is because, by the time the Results of KEAM Entrance Exam arrive & Seat Allocation occurs (CAP), their Grade 12th Results would already be released.

• Required Subjects: The 3 mandatory subjects are Physics, Maths & any 1 of the following subjects- Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology & Biology.

• Required Marks (Non-Management Quota Admissions): Indian and NRI Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks. For Maths, the score must be 50% as well.

• Required Marks (Management Quota Admissions): Indian and NRI Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 45% marks to be eligible for admissions (under Management Quota) in Private SFTIs & Govt. Controlled SFTIs. SFTIs= Self Financed Technical Institutions.

Age Criteria For KEAM:

• The Indian and NRI candidates must have completed 18 years of age (as on 31st December for that particular year).

• There is no upper age limit to KEAM Entrance Exam.

Nationality Required For KEAM:

• Candidate must be a citizen of India or NRI (Non-Resident Indian). To be eligible to apply under categories such as OBC-NCL/ SC / ST, candidates must be from the state of Kerala.

• PIO & OCI Candidates are also eligible for KEAM Entrance Exam but only under General Quota i.e. no reservation. For NRI Candidates to be eligible (under Non-K1 / Non-K2 categories), they must be directly related to Kerala such as being born there or having hometown in Kerala, having a domicile certificate of Kerala, etc. Be sure to clarify all this before you start to prepare for this exam.

Category Wise Eligibility for Non-Keralites:

1. Non-Keralite 1 (Non-K1):

• The candidates who have spent 5 years of studies from Kerala are eligible. Also those who do not have domicile certificate of Kerala but have completed/pursuing Grade 8th to Grade 12th are eligible.

• Candidates who have cleared their qualifying exam (Grade 11th & 12th) from Kerala & their parents are posted in Kerala & are employee of defence or Central Government or served in Kerala Govt for 2 years are eligible as well.

2. Non-Keralite 2 (Non-K2):

• Candidates of this category are eligible only for 10% of seats in the Institutes - Govt. Controlled SFTIs & Private SFTIs through both management & non-management Quota. The only difference here is that for Govt Controlled SFTIs, Non-K2 candidates can only take admissions under the non-management quota when Keralites & Non-K1 Candidates are not available of admissions into vacant seats.

• Non-K2 candidates are not eligible for admission in Govt. Engineering Institutes of Kerala. They must only opt for Private SFTIs & Govt.Controlled SFTIs. SFTIs= Self Financed Technical Admissions. NRI Candidates, from an Indian State other than Kerala, may fall under the Non-K2 Category.

Steps to Fill KEAM Entrance Exam 2022 Application Form for Students:

The Registration Process for candidates includes the following steps-

Step 1: Registration: Provide your email ID and phone number to register for KEAM Entrance Exam 2022. Applicants will be provided with a system generated Application Number. A strong password of at least 8 characters and special numeric, symbol, alphabet characters are required. 

Candidates must re-login using the generated application number and password to complete the form.

Step 2: Fill in the KEAM Entrance Exam Application Form: After registration, sign in to the candidate's account and fill in the details requested in the form. Qualification details, category information, booking details, contact information.

This information is required and may be checked prior to final submission by' Save and Review.'

Step 3: Upload Documents: It is also mandatory to upload scanned images of their recent photograph, signature and thumb print to the required specifications.

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee: Application fee may be paid online through Debit / Credit Card or Internet Banking or offline through Demand Draft.

Step 5: Print-out of the application form: After payment of the application fee and completion of the process. Applicants must submit a copy of their application form after completing the following formalities-

KEAM Entrance Exam 2022 Counselling Process for Indian Students:

The counselling process for KEAM Entrance Exam 2022 will begin after the declaration of the KEAM Entrance Exam result. Post-release of merit list, allotment of seats in various courses and college will commence.

• Indian and NRI Candidates who make it a merit list must register for an online counselling session.

• Indian and NRI Candidates who do not have access to the Internet must register at the various facilitation centres listed in the information prospectus.

• Details such as course preferences and college preferences need to be filled in while registering for KEAM Entrance Exam 2022 Counseling.

• CEE will hold subsequent counselling sessions until all seats are filled.
