NIT Delhi Fee Structure for NRI Students 2026–2027
Structure of Fees at National Institute of Technology, Delhi changes according to certain aspects like the course, admission type, and quota of the student.
For the Indian quota, semester fees are paid by the students.
In the case of NRI, OCI, PIO, and foreigners, the admissions in the B. Tech program are done under the DASA quota. CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries) quota is also a part of the DASA system and has a relatively lower structure of fees for those whose parents work in the Gulf countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

At National Institute of Technology, Delhi, B.Tech course fee structure depends upon the admission type, family income, and quota. The average tuition fees for Indian students, who take admission through JoSAA/CSAB process, is approximately ₹62,500 per semester along with other fees charged by the institute like institute fees, hostel fees, etc.
The fee relaxation scheme is applied to SC/ST/PwD students in accordance with Government of India guidelines.
The admission for NRI, OCI, PIO, and foreign candidates takes place through DASA quota, wherein the fee structure is higher for Non-SAARC category candidates than that of domestic students. DASA-2026 will be coordinated by one of the NITs (as officially stated on the DASA portal). The conducting NIT for 2027 is yet to be confirmed, and the official DASA Brochure 2026 will be released shortly after the announcement. Admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs under the DASA scheme for 2026 will be based on JEE Main Score 2026, including for NRI students living in the USA and Middle East applying under CIWG/DASA quota.
Admission procedure for NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign candidates in NIT Delhi follows the DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) scheme for B.Tech admissions. Admissions are done according to the ranking of JEE Main, preferences in branches, and available seats in the counselling process.

As per the official notification of the institute, some specific departments provide Master’s and research programs. There is a difference between MS and research programs from normal B.Tech and M.Tech courses as there is more emphasis on research in such courses.
