Students applying under CIWG — Children of Indian Workers in Gulf — must submit additional parent-employment documents.
CIWG is a category within DASA.
Under DASA 2026, either parent had to be working or have worked in an eligible Gulf country up to an applicable date in the admission year.

CIWG applicants are required to upload a copy of the passport of the parent whose employment in the Gulf is being relied upon to establish CIWG eligibility.
The parent must be the same parent for which you are submitting employment documents.
The DASA 2026 checklist required a copy of the parent’s Gulf visa with validity on a relevant date in 2026.
Also check the relevant validity period from the official 2027 brochure instead of just changing the year for DASA 2027.
CIWG applicants also needed a copy of the parent’s work permit.

Students should not assume that AP courses alone replace the need for official school transcripts or qualification documents.
This is a major update to many of the outdated online lists of DASA documents.
The official Annexure 5 of the DASA 2026 brochure’s mandatory document-upload checklist does not separately mention a JEE Main scorecard or a DASA payment receipt. Candidates logged in to the DASA/CSAB Special portal using their JEE Main credentials, and fee payment was taken care of separately by the DASA process before the verification of documents.
Students are still advised to keep their JEE Main application information, result/rank details and payment confirmations safely handy, but the blog should not tag them as Annexure 5 mandatory uploads unless the 2027 brochure explicitly says so.
