NIT Goa Fees For NRI Quota (DASA And CIWG)
The NIT Goa fee structure depends on the program, mode of admission, and category of student. For Indian students who have got admission through the JoSAA/CSAB, the fee structure will be on a per semester basis as fixed by the institute. The B.Tech admission for NRI, OCI, PIO, and Foreign National categories of students will be through the DASA route, while CIWG category students will get a reduced tuition fee if their parents work in Gulf countries.

The B.Tech program is the leading undergraduate engineering program provided by NIT Goa. Admission into the B.Tech program is made based on JEE Main, JoSAA, CSAB, DASA, and CIWG, based on the eligibility and admission category of the candidates.
Regular B.Tech Tuition Fee: ₹62,500 per semester for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates, as well as institute and hostel fees. SC, ST, and PwD candidates can get fee exemptions or concessions according to Government of India and institute guidelines.

For the NRI candidates studying in other nations like the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore, etc., the common procedure followed to take admission into B.Tech at NIT Goa is DASA Non-SAARC. In case of NRI candidates seeking a career in software, AI, data sciences, semi-conductors, and international technology firms, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) are considered the most desired branches at NIT Goa.
NIT Goa also provides M.Tech courses in different streams of engineering. The admission process can be done via GATE, CCMT counseling, or institute-level admission process depending upon the course and availability of seats.
DASA and CIWG are mainly for B.Tech course admission purposes and do not apply for M.Tech courses. Students belonging to the category of NRI, OCI, and PIO who wish to pursue M.Tech from NIT Goa are advised to check the guidelines of GATE/CCMT and institute notification.

NRI students need not take it for granted that the fee pattern of DASA/CIWG is applicable for M.Tech course as well. It is recommended that candidates should check the admission notification released by NIT Goa for postgraduate courses for the latest information on the same.
MS Research programme and other research-oriented programmes are available at NIT Goa as per the availability in respective departments and as per recent institute notifications. The programmes are different from normal B.Tech and M.Tech programme and follow their own admission process and fee structure.
DASA and CIWG apply only for B.Tech and normally not for the MS Research program. Non-resident Indians (NRIs), overseas citizens of India (OCIs) and persons of Indian origin (PIOs) who want to pursue research program must refer to the recent notifications of NIT Goa.

Usually, the admission process into Ph.D. course depends upon eligibility criteria, research field, qualifications, written exam, interview, and seat availability in the corresponding department of the concerned institute.
Admission procedure for NRIs/OCIs/PIOs for Ph.D. course is not same as the DASA admission process for B.Tech courses. Since CIWG benefits mainly apply to B.Tech admissions, therefore, they are not relevant for Ph.D. courses.
