B.Tech is the main undergraduate engineering programme offered at IIIT Delhi. B.Tech admissions for Indian students at IIIT Delhi are made using JAC Delhi on the basis of marks in JEE Main. IIIT Delhi’s hostel fees and cost of living are not included in the tuition fee and must be taken into account during the process of calculating total costs involved in education in India. The admission process for M.Tech courses is conducted by IIIT Delhi in various streams of engineering and technology. Admissions in M.Tech courses are normally made on the basis of GATE score, admission policy of the institute, sponsored category, or any other criterion specified by the institute.
It should be stated that the DASA scheme and CIWG scheme can be used in case of admissions in B.Tech course but not in M.Tech course. In case of non-resident Indians (NRI), overseas citizens of India (OCI), and persons of Indian origin (PIO) students who wish to join the M.Tech course at IIIT Delhi need to go through postgraduate admission procedures.

The students pursuing their M.Tech degree as NRI candidates should be aware that the DASA and CIWG fee system is not applicable to the process of admission to IIIT Delhi for M.Tech courses. The candidates are required to refer to the postgraduate admission notification released by IIIT Delhi before filling out the application form.
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIITD) provides MS by Research and research-based postgraduate courses in certain chosen fields, depending upon departmental availability and the latest admission information available. These courses are research-centric and are meant for candidates who are keen to do research rather than studying on a regular basis.
Applicants are advised that DASA and CIWG are eligible only for admissions into B.Tech course and not for MS by Research. Non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) applying for admission in the MS/Research courses should apply through the institute’s postgraduate research admission procedure and check the latest notification.
