Option B: State-Level Entrance Exam — AP EAPCET (Formerly AP EAMCET)

AP EAPCET is the state entrance examination of Andhra Pradesh, being administered by JNTU Kakinada under the aegis of APSCHE. However, a score obtained through this examination can be used solely for admission within Andhra Pradesh; if one wants to have an additional choice outside of the state, he/she should give JEE Main exam too.
It is a computer-based test, which takes place throughout several days of May and comprises Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects for Engineering candidates. 5. What is AP EAMCET called now, and is my son/daughter’s information about “EAMCET” still accurate? 

The examination is now called AP EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) since the medical entrance exam is completely done away with and now conducted using NEET. The examination is the same only with a different name and is conducted by JNTU Kakinada.

6. Do Gulf-based Indian students need a student visa to study engineering in Andhra Pradesh?

 Citizens of India (Including NRIs) do not require student visa. Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO cardholders should refer visa requirements as per the current scenario, as OCI cardholders usually don’t require separate student visa.
