How do we use this school year?
Sep to May household months, summer acceleration, AP-week maintenance, rolling phases before the next attempt, and parent checkpoints. Planning year 2027.
Parents mix three clocks. Keep them apart or September becomes a shopping list.
Sep to May household months, summer acceleration, AP-week maintenance, rolling phases before the next attempt, and parent checkpoints. Planning year 2027.
Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 intensity sits on how early to start NEET. Transcript vs NEET units sits on the syllabus-gap page. Open those first if the grade or the course list is still blank.
It is written for a US-based family where the student is already in a Regular, Honors, AP or IB high school and the family is planning MBBS in India through NEET. Passport type does not change the study clock. US citizen, Green Card, OCI or Indian passport still sit the same paper.
Same evenings, kept through daylight saving. An India 6 a.m. batch the student misses every second week is not a calendar.
Travel can happen. Six to eight high-output weeks still have to be locked, not hoped for in August.
Coverage without a weekly timed slot is a busy school year, not a NEET plan.
Registration, admit card, travel and counselling are execution. They do not replace a chapter. Dedicated pages will list on the hub.
Most US students do not lose marks because science class was weak. They lose marks because NCERT wording, MCQ volume and test discipline never got calendar time.
AP, IB or Honors reasoning stays. That is the weekday spine. It is not a substitute paper.
Especially Biology. Line-based statements and exception lists need daily minutes, not a holiday crash.
Chapter MCQs from month one. Mixed sections later. Full papers only after a real first pass.
News that 2027 may move to CBT is not a new official paper. Watch NTA. Do not rebuild this calendar around a rumour.
This is a household map, not the NTA timetable. Last published NEET UG sat in the Indian summer after the US school year. Use these months to place work. Confirm 2027 on the live bulletin before you book flights.
Daylight saving will move the clock in November and March. Keep the same local evening. Do not chase IST. Batch design sits on NEET coaching in the USA.
Pick the track from the start grade, not from a course brochure. If the grade is still undecided, use the start-grade page first.
Grade 11 school year is foundation and first syllabus cycle. Summer after Grade 11 is acceleration. Grade 12 September to the exam window is mixed tests, full papers and revision. This is the default for a US family aiming at 2027 after Grade 12.
Only if Physics, Chemistry and Biology are already on the transcript and evenings can hold 14 to 18 hours. Compress foundation into autumn. Mixed tests by winter. Full papers when a real first pass exists. A first map in Grade 12 is a tight clock, not a crash dressed as a year.
Sitting after Grade 11 is possible for some students. It still uses the same phases. It just shortens the unused months. Map the red units first on the syllabus-gap page before you promise that clock.
The blog’s useful idea is a rolling clock. Use it so a late start still has a job. Overlay it on the Sep to May year above. Do not treat “18 months” as a promised score.
Stable weekly routine. Biology reading is no longer foreign. Completed chapters get MCQs. School exams no longer wipe the whole week. Physics formulas and Physical Chemistry start here, not as a Grade 12 panic.
Coverage rises. Notes do not count as done until questions are solved. Every finished chapter gets revision, MCQs across a few days, a timed chapter test, and a reattempt of misses.
Chapter-wise comfort dies when three chapters appear together. Daily mixed MCQs, at least one timed section, error-log review, and Biology NCERT recall stay on the week.
Stamina and time allocation matter more than a new notebook. One full paper a week is enough if every paper is analysed. Raise frequency only when correction sessions actually happen.
This is not a race to open brand-new units. Timed Biology or NCERT recall, a Physics or Chemistry timed block, error-log revision, formula and diagram recall, short reattempt sets. Sleep stays on the calendar.
These are weekly outputs for Phase 1, not a promised percentile. If the number kills AP, cut the hours, not the test slot.
| Subject | Main focus | Weekly output |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | NCERT reading, active recall, chapter MCQs | Five short sessions, one revision block, regular MCQs |
| Chemistry | Concepts, Physical practice, NCERT Inorganic | Four to five sessions plus one cumulative review |
| Physics | Formulas, basic numericals, accuracy | Four practice sessions and one timed problem set |
Which units are red vs green is a transcript job. Do that on the syllabus-gap page. A full 2027 unit list will list on the hub when that page ships. Do not dump every chapter name into this calendar.
A US student should not hold the same NEET intensity every week. The plan should change with school load. Hours are planning ranges, not NTA rules.
Regular weeks. Keep syllabus moving and keep the weekly test. Stronger students who still sleep can hold 10 to 12. If AP dies, the number is too high.
Close large blocks. Raise test volume. Lock six to eight of these weeks in the family travel calendar. Do not pretend August will save a skipped year.
Two short NCERT Biology sessions, one mixed MCQ set, one error-log review, and a written restart date. A zero week is how calendars die.
Rebuild the slot. Review errors. Clear a limited backlog. Do not use this week to invent a brand-new timetable.
Copy the shape, not the exact minutes. Live class should sit on a US evening the student can keep.
NCERT, MCQs, and correcting yesterday’s misses. School stays the weekday spine.
Backlog review and error-log update. Short on purpose. Protect Friday night if the household needs it.
Concept revision and mixed practice. This is where chapter leftovers get scheduled, not ignored.
Timed test and analysis. Same day every week. Moving it “just this once” is how the slot disappears.
Do not create a complete zero week. Reduce the plan. Keep a floor. Write the restart date before the AP week begins.
NCERT pages already taught. No new organic marathon during AP Chemistry week.
Keeps exam language warm. Fifteen to thirty questions is enough.
Reattempt two or three old misses. That is cheaper than restarting the chapter in June.
The recovery layer begins that week. If the date is missing, the break becomes the new normal.
A full paper with no analysis is entertainment. Start full mocks once a solid chunk of syllabus is actually tested, usually after sectional work in winter. Weekly full papers belong in the last four months, not in Grade 9.
| Error type | What it usually means | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| Concept | The topic is not understood | Relearn, then targeted questions |
| NCERT recall | A statement, fact or exception was missed | Return to that textbook section and revise it again |
| Calculation | Process is known, execution is weak | Similar timed numericals |
| Reading | A word, condition or option was skipped | Slow down on critical words |
| Time | Too long on hard questions | Question selection and timed sections |
| Guessing | Low-confidence answers and negative marks | Elimination plus a personal attempt rule |
After every mock: sort misses and unattempted questions, run two or three short correction sessions, revise the related NCERT or concept, reattempt without the solution, and retest that weakness within seven to ten days.
Use these school-year checkpoints on the two-year track. They are household signs, not official NTA gates. Shift them if you are on a one-year clock.
The weekly slot is stable. Syllabus progress is real chapters and questions, not a pile of unwatched recordings.
Biology’s first NCERT pass is complete on the two-year track. Weekly tests have started and are not optional.
If the attempt is still a year away, summer is booked. If the attempt is this season, full papers are consistent and repeat mistakes are falling. Confirm the live date.
Mock scores sit in a range. Negative marking is under a rule. Sleep is intact. New notes have mostly stopped.
Not on track if the student keeps restarting chapters, avoids full papers, or has no error log. Hours without those three signs are a busy calendar.
US science is a strength. It still needs a NEET conversion block on this calendar. The full unit map stays on the syllabus-gap page. This table is only what to add in the week.
| School course | Likely strength | Add on this calendar |
|---|---|---|
| AP Biology | Reasoning and labs | Daily NCERT reading and line-based MCQs |
| AP Chemistry | Concepts and numericals | Inorganic NCERT plus timed mixed practice |
| AP Physics (any paper) | Reasoning on selected topics | Formula revision, missing chapters, timed numericals |
| IB Biology | Depth and explanation | Recall cycles and high-volume MCQs |
| IB Chemistry or Physics | Structured analysis | Timed sections and mixed-topic tests |
| Honors science | School-level base | A diagnostic, then a chapter-specific bridge |
AP Biology does not replace NCERT Biology. That question is settled. Put the minutes on the week.
Wording errors stay high. NCERT Biology needs daily minutes from the first month of the plan.
School science feels complete. The paper does not. Timed questions start in month one.
The same miss repeats in April. Track concept, silly, time and guess. Reattempt weekly.
No acceleration. Lock six to eight high-output weeks around travel now.
The slot dies. Use the 3 to 5 hour floor and a restart date.
Passport and sponsor files are a second list. They do not replace Sunday’s paper.
If you only do this list, the household has a real system in seven days.
We look at remaining months, the course list and the school load before we recommend foundation, two-year or one-year. Live classes sit on US evening slots so the school day stays intact. Recordings are for a missed class or revision, not a replacement for showing up.
We do not sell a promised score. We do not replace the US high school. Weekend product detail will sit on a later page. Until then, use NEET coaching in the USA.
Hours are teaching hours. Confirm the live price on the course grid. Test series and crash are for students whose units are already mostly green. They are not a substitute for a missing first pass.

The study year still needs a folder. Until those dedicated pages are live, use two or three lines and the hub. Do not skip them. Do not dump them into this calendar.
Grade 9 or 10 for a light foundation. Grade 11 for full syllabus. That page is live: how early to start NEET.
Passport, school records, later scorecard. Start the folder while the student studies. Full page will list on /neet/pages.
The visa describes the US stay. NRI quota follows passport, citizenship, OCI and sponsor rules. Full visa page will list on the hub.
Score first, then the desk. Registration and admit-card steps follow NTA when the form opens. Full counselling pages will list on the hub.
Yes if structured prep starts by Grade 10 or early Grade 11, NCERT Biology begins early, and weekly tests run through the school year. A gap year is a different clock, not a requirement.
Not automatically. It becomes execution-heavy. It depends on summer use, daily MCQs and consistent testing. Without those, scores usually stall. See the start-grade page if you are still choosing intensity.
For realistic progress, plan 8 to 10 hours. Stronger students aiming higher can hold 10 to 12 if sleep and AP survive. These are planning ranges, not NTA rules.
Summer is the acceleration window. Use it to complete NCERT passes, raise mock frequency and fix weak areas without school sitting on the weekday.
Yes. NEET qualification is required for MBBS admission in India, regardless of passport type, OCI status or NRI category. Eligibility detail sits on the NRI eligibility page.
No. AP helps concepts. NEET still needs NCERT wording, line-based statements and repeated MCQs. Put NCERT on the week.
Syllabus completion that has been tested, weekly test count, mock-score stability when mocks have started, and the mistake-repeat rate from the error log.
After a solid chunk of syllabus has been tested with chapter and sectional papers. On many two-year clocks that is winter into spring. Weekly full papers belong in the last four months, not in Grade 9.
Use the error log, fix careless misses, stop blind guessing, train timed elimination, and reattempt wrong questions weekly.
Starting Biology late and avoiding tests. Without early NCERT Biology and a testing system, students stay busy and do not convert hours into marks.
NTA has not published the official 2027 form date here. News that 2027 may move to CBT is not a new official paper. Watch NTA. Do not freeze this calendar on a rumour.
Not as a dump on this page. Hub now. Dedicated pages when those slugs ship. Keep the folder while the study year runs.
