About IB
The International Baccalaureate was established in the year 1968.Its headquarter is in Geneva, Switzerland. It is an international educational organization which offers four educational programmes for children between 3 to 19 years of age.
The International Baccalaureate (IB)is a non-profit organisation and have its three global centres in Bethesda Maryland, United States, Singapore and The Hague, Netherlands.
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) was founded in mid 1990’s and offers eight subjects to the students. The MYP programme is adopted by schools in 51 countries.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) was founded in the year 1996 and was adopted by thirty primary schools in different countries. .
The IB has introduced a new educational programme for the students between the age of 16 to 19 years who want to indulge themselves in career related learning.
