NTA has released the official notification for JEE Main 2026, and we're here to guide you through the application process and the essential documents you'll need.
Here we have provided the Step-by-step procedure on how to register for JEE Main 2026 online.

Stage 1: Registration
Step-1: To register, visit the official JEE Main website and click on New Candidate Register here.
To Register- https://jeemain.ntaonline.in/
Step-2: You will be taken to Guidelines Page and at the end that asks you to click the checkbox confirming that you had read the JEE Main 2026 Bulletin & Guidelines. Following this, you must click “Proceed”.
Step-3: In this step, you must select the identity document type for Login and Identification for online submission of Application.
Step-4: In this step, you must select the identity document type for your identification at the exam center.
Step-5: Fill out the application form with details like:
Your name, Mother’s Name & Father’s name
Identity Type (Qualifying Exam Admit card with photograph & its roll number) or it is equivalent.
Your Date of Birth, Gender, Address, e-mail address, mobile number.
Password setup & a security question.
At the end of this step, you will be given to enter a captcha to verify that you are not a robot.
Stage 2: Application Form
Step-6: After completion of the step 5. You will receive a confirmation mail from NTA in which you will have your application number and now you have to use this application number to login and proceed further by uploading your necessary documents given below ensuring they meet the specified guidelines and also upload your educational information, and select preferred exam centers.
Documents Required:
The recent photograph should be either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible)
The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible)
Scanned Images of the Candidate’s Signature
Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible)
The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
Stage 3: Pay Exam Fee
Step-7: Complete the process by paying the application fee online using Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI. Don't forget to review your application and submit it. Keep a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
