NEET Selection Procedure

Step	Process	Details
Step 1	Registration & Application Submission	Candidates register online at neet.nta.nic.in, fill in details, upload documents, and pay the fee.
Step 2	Download NEET Admit Card	NTA releases the admit card on the official website, which must be downloaded and printed.
Step 3	Appear for NEET UG 2025 Exam	Offline exam (Pen & Paper-based), 3 hours 20 minutes, 200 MCQs (180 to be attempted), 720 marks.
Step 4	NEET Result Declaration	NTA releases results on the official website with scores, percentile, and All India Rank (AIR).
Step 5	NEET Cutoff & Merit List	Cutoff marks and merit list prepared based on NEET scores for different categories.
Step 6	Counselling Process	AIQ (15%) by MCC, State Quota (85%) by state authorities – Candidates select colleges based on rank and availability.
Step 7	Seat Allotment & Admission	Seats are allotted based on rank and preferences; candidates must report to the allotted college for verification and admission.

Documents required during admission:

Class 10 Mark Sheet & Certificate	Proof of date of birth.
Class 12 Mark Sheet & Certificate	Proof of qualification (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology).
Category Certificate (if applicable)	SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate issued by the competent authority.
PwD Certificate (if applicable)	For candidates under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category.
Domicile Certificate	Required for state quota seats.
ID Proof	Aadhaar Card/Passport/Voter ID/PAN Card/Driving License.
Passport-sized Photographs	Recent photographs (as per specifications in the NEET application).
Provisional Allotment Letter	Issued during counselling.
Migration Certificate (if required)	Required for candidates from different education boards.
