Ways To Be Eligible for NEET for IB/AP students:-
Students in IBDP are required to select subjects from 6 groups, which generally have no option to select 3 sciences (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). But there are some different and unique ways for students to be eligible for NEET.
Method 1 – The first method is to study the subject of the third science as a 'special/extra' certificate. In this scenario, it will not be considered for the overall IB Diploma score and so it only has the utility of fulfilling the university entrance criteria of three sciences study.
Method 2 – The student can apply for a non-regular diploma as a second choice, which enables them to complete three different science courses. The third subject of science may be followed in place of category 3 (individuals and Societies).
Although this is a potential choice, if the criteria for the planned higher education do not include an alternative, the applicant will be able to take a non-regular diploma only. The application for this must be processed by the school's IB coordinator and sent to the IB Cardiff office 18 months prior to the exam.
Method 3 – Either You can join CBSE Board for two years (Class 11th & 12th) and study these three major subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with English.
Though studying 3 science subjects fulfills the required criteria for applying for NEET, the student needs additional efforts to prepare for the exam itself.
The NEET exam is based on a syllabus of CBSE that includes both grades 11 and 12. While the students preparing to pursue NEET would have to devote time accordingly for their additional preparation.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET for NRI IB/AP Students
The NEET has both 11th and 12th Standard CBSE syllabuses. Yet also other curriculam such as State Board, IB, IGCSE, ICSE, etc. Are different syllabuses and the 12th exams only have 12th-year chapters (not 11th and 12th both).
NEET is a struggle for all students who want to practice medicine, and they are on non-CBSE boards; it just looks like an unfair battlefield.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a two-year regular and continuous study of Physics / Chemistry / Biology or Biotechnology together with practice taken together and Class 11th & 12th English.
You can apply for NRI seats in colleges but it is highly dependent on the administration to get admission.
