TNEA 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be from the state of Tamil Nadu and have completed their state class XII.

Applicants who are not in the state of Tamil Nadu but have completed state class XII can also apply.

Wards of the central government, whether state or not, can apply for admission as long as their parents or guardians have served in the state of Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years.

These candidates must provide a certification from the employer of their parents or legal guardians.

Tamil Nadu candidates who have completed grade 12 in out-of-state schools can also apply as long as they present a valid birth certificate. The birth certificate must be attached in digital format.

Public service wards or civil servants can also apply regardless of their place of residence, as long as their parents/guardians have been employed in the state of Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years and can provide appropriate certification.

The entrance is also open to all senior Indian service officers in Tamil Nadu.

Age criteria:

The candidate's age must not be less than 18 years old and must not exceed 25 years.

For applicants in the reserved category, an age reduction is applied according to university regulations.

Qualification criteria:

The prerequisite for the application is the successful completion of the 10 + 2 exam or equivalent with PCM as a mandatory subject of a recognized examining board.

Applicants must earn 50% of the points (General category), 45% of the points (OBC category), and 40% of the points (MBC, DNC, SC, ST & SCA category) in the above qualification.
