Academic Eligibility In NEET For NRI IB/AP Student
Students of the IB and AP are eligible for NEET exams only if they have completed the prescribed science course requirements as part of their respective IB DP and AP curriculum. NEET 2021 Criteria for eligibility are specified by NTA. According to NTA, the medical aspirants who wish to appear for NEET 2021 must meet the nationality requirements, age criteria and academic criteria to sit for the test. Candidates should note that NEET 2020 is being rescheduled for 13 September 2020. As per the latest NTA notification, candidates can expect the release of NEET Admit Card, 15 days before the date of the exam. NOTE: Not just for NEET; a student must have studied three sciences (physics, chemistry, and biology) and English in their class 10 + 2 or equivalent in order to pursue a medicine course from any university in India. Get IB / NEET Trial Session Get IB / NEET Prep Help Candidates who have passed or appear as core subjects of a recognized board in Class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English are eligible. Applicants need minimum qualification marks of 50 percent. As of 31 December 2021, candidates must be 17 years of age. Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs and Foreign nationals may apply. NEET 2021 doesn't restrict the number of attempts. You can attempt more times. NTA has removed the 'Upper Age Limit' criteria which allow candidates over the age of 25 to apply for the exam. Candidates who have taken biology as an additional subject can also apply now. Students in IBDP are required to select subjects from 6 groups, which generally have no option to select 3 sciences (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). But there are some different and unique ways for students to be eligible for NEET. Method 1 - The first method is to study the subject of the third science as a 'special/extra' certificate. In this scenario, it will not be considered for the overall IB Diploma score and so it only has the utility of fulfilling the university entrance criteria of three sciences study. Method 2 - The student can apply for a non-regular diploma as a second choice, which enables them to complete three different science courses. The third subject of science may be followed in place of category 3 (individuals and Societies). Although this is a potential choice, if the criteria for the planned higher education do not include an alternative, the applicant will be able to take a non-regular diploma only. The application for this must be processed by the school's IB coordinator and sent to the IB Cardiff office 18 months prior to the exam. Method 3 - Either You can join CBSE Board for two years (Class 11th & 12th) and study these three major subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with English. Though studying 3 science subjects fulfills the required criteria for applying for NEET, the student needs additional efforts to prepare for the exam itself. The NEET exam is based on a syllabus of CBSE that includes both grades 11 and 12. While the students preparing to pursue NEET would have to devote time accordingly for their additional preparation. The NEET has both 11th and 12th Standard CBSE syllabuses. Yet also other curriculam such as State Board, IB, IGCSE, ICSE, etc. Are different syllabuses and the 12th exams only have 12th-year chapters (not 11th and 12th both). NEET is a struggle for all students who want to practice medicine, and they are on non-CBSE boards; it just looks like an unfair battlefield. Candidates must have a two-year regular and continuous study of Physics / Chemistry / Biology or Biotechnology together with practice taken together and Class 11th & 12th English. You can apply for NRI seats in colleges but it is highly dependent on the administration to get admission. Students who passed the qualifying exam in class XII are qualified to apply for the NEET 2021. Candidates in Class XII must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology as their subjects and should have gone through/passed all the subjects. Class XII is the basic qualifying examination but the qualification marks differ according to the category of the candidates. Candidates must fill in the on-line application form with the correct NEET Qualifying Test Codes. NIOS candidates and those who have opted for Biology as an additional subject are now eligible for NEET 2021. Candidates should have reached the age of 17 until 'December 31, 2021'. Candidates born on or before the date of 'December 31, 2003' are NEET eligible. Applicants above the age of 25 are allowed to appear for the exam on an interim basis, but their acceptance depends on the Supreme Court decision. The NTA has not directed the maximum number of attempts for the NEET test. So allowing a candidate to appear as many times as they like for NEET. Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs can apply for these seats. Before applying for NEET 2021, foreign nationals will need to confirm their eligibility. Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign nationals can apply for these seats. NOTE: Candidates who are foreign nationals must confirm their Medical / Dental / Siddha / Unani / Ayurveda / Homeopathy College / State eligibility. Candidates who have studied abroad and wish to be admitted to medical schools in India must have passed 50 percent marks in Class XII in Chemistry, Physics, English, and Biology / Biotechnology and their equivalence is determined by the Association of Indian Universities as MCI regulations and the university concerned. This also includes candidates who have taken the IB (International Baccalaureate)/GCSE / Advanced Placement curriculum in their school. IB candidates in India are too eligible for NEET. Candidates applying to change their category (Indian / Others to NRI) are expected to meet the following conditions:- 1) Documents that claim the sponsor is an NRI (Passport, sponsor's visa) 2) NRI 's relationship with the candidate in accordance with The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India's court orders in the case W.P.(c) No. 689/2017 3) The sponsor's affidavit that he/she will fund the candidate's entire course fee properly notarized. 4) Sponsorer’s Embassy Certificate (Consulate Certificate) 5) Valid NEET-UG 2021 Candidate scorecard.
