JEE Main Eligibility Criteria as per NTA
JEE Main is the national-level entrance examination and this is considered one of the best ways to get engineering colleges for all those students who want to pursue Engineering as their higher studies and want to take admissions into several NITs, IITs and CFTIs. As per the new notification of NTA, JEE Main 2003 will only conduct in Online mode i.e. Computer Based Mode.
Candidates must ensure that before filling the JEE Main 2023 Application Form, they first check out the eligibility criteria for JEE Main as they are suitable to sit for this exam or not.

Basic Eligibility for JEE Main 2023
Nationality - Candidates must be Indian Citizens.
Students Living in Abroad Countries i.e.- NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign National Candidates are eligible to give JEE Main 2023 Examination through DASA/CIWG Quota.
Number of Attempts - A Candidate can only give JEE Main Exam exactly not more than 6 times.
Eligibility Criteria for NRI Students as per DASA
1. Students must clear class 11th & 12th from any recognized board outside India.
2. Students must have Physics and Mathematics main subjects in class 11th & 12th.
3. Candidates should score a minimum of 60% in 12th grade.
4. Students must qualify JEE mains exam as per the cut-off.
5. NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and FN who are residing and studying abroad for the last 2 years can apply.
6. There is no age limit for attempting JEE Main.
7. Students who appeared for the class 12th exam but the result is awaited and are likely to get the result in March/ April 2023, can also apply.
Age Criteria for Candidates
Age Limit - There is no age limit to appear in JEE Main 2023 Examination. Candidates just need to pass class 10+2 from a recognized board.
Relaxation - Candidates who belong to a Reserved Category like SC, ST, and PwD category have a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age.
Date of Birth - Will be considered will be same as on their 10th Class Mark sheet to appear in the JEE Main Examination.
Qualification Criteria for Candidates appearing in JEE Main 2023 Examination
Qualifying Exam - Students must qualify for their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, and many more.
Subjects Requirement - Students applying for JEE Main 2023 should have cleared their class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as their main subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biology or other optional Subjects.
Passing Marks requirement - There are no minimum marks required for appearing in JEE Main 2023 Examination. Candidates who have scored passing marks in their 12 or equivalent can also apply for it.
Class 12 Appearing Students - Students who will be appearing in Class 12 in the year 2023 are also eligible for JEE Main 2023. NIOS students are also eligible for giving this examination.
Diploma Holders - Diploma Holder candidates can also apply in JEE Main 2023 but their rank and scores are not valid for taking admissions into NITs and CFTIs.
