West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state-level examination administered by the Joint Entrance Examination Board of West Bengal (WBJEEB).

Clearing JEE Main will also give you the eligibility to take admission in Indian engineering colleges.

NRI students can take admission in Indian engineering colleges through DASA/CIWG & NRI Quota.

Different West Bengal state universities, government colleges, and self-financed institutions consider the WBJEE score to be providing admission to all Indian& NRI candidates.

The exam is a platform for Indian & NRI students seeking admission to B.Tech and B.Pharma courses at West Bengal's universities, government colleges, and self-financing engineering & technical institutions.

WBJEE 2022 Important Dates

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducted the WBJEE 2022 Offline Exam on 2 February 2022.

WBJEE 2022 admit card issued on 24 January 2022 by WBJEE Board Candidates can verify and download their WBJEE Admit Card by entering the application number and password.

WBJEE 2022 application correction process started from 14 to 16 November by WBJEEB. Candidates wishing to participate in the WBJEE exam must complete the applications and submit them until November 13.

WBJEE 2022 Counselling 

4th week of June, 2022

WBJEE counselling will be carried out in online mode. Candidates must fill in their preferences for admission courses and institutes along with the registration.

WBJEE 2022 Seat Allotment Results for Round 1

1st week of July 2022

The authority will conduct WBJEE counselling for both WBJEE and JEE Main qualified candidates. The counselling and seat allotment will be based on the ranks obtained by candidates.

WBJEE 2022-23 Eligibility Criteria for Students

The WBJEE 2022 eligibility criteria have been announced by the West Bengal Joint Entrance reviewing board. Candidates can now check the details of the admission requirements and conditions via the eligibility criteria for WBJEE 2022-23.

In the WBJEE eligibility criteria 2022-23, various factors such as age, employment, home and other conditions which candidates must satisfy are present.

 

Eligibility criteria to appear at WBJEE 2022

Candidate Nationality: Aspirants must be a resident of India or NRI.

Candidate Age:  An Indian and NRI applicant must be at least 17 years of age to appear for the exam (as of 31 December 2021).

It means that an aspirant must have been born on or before 31 December 2002. For inclusion in the WBJEE 2022 there is no upper age limit.

  • Nevertheless, the lower age limit for admission to the Marine Engineering Course is 17 years, as at 31 December 2022, and the upper age limit is 25 years, as at 31 December 2021.  

 

WBJEE 2022-23 Eligibility criteria for B.Tech admissions

In order to take part in WBJEE 2022-23 examination, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set out in the WBJEE 2022-23.

For taking admission in the WBJEE 2022-23 B.Tech course:

  • In all three subjects in regular class mode, Indian and NRI aspirants should have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics along with any of the subjects mentioned below as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (both theoretically and practically where applicable).
  • All Indian and NRI aspirants must have achieved a minimum mark of 45 percent (40 percent in the case of candidates from reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the three subjects mentioned above taken together.
  • Candidates with at least 30 percent marks should have passed English in the 10 + 2 examinations.
  • The Board of the Qualifying Examination of all Indian and NRI students must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.

 

WBJEE 2022-23 Eligibility Criteria For B.Arch

In order to take part in WBJEE 2022-23 examination, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set out in the WBJEE 2022-23.

For taking admission in the WBJEE 2022-23 B.Arch course:

  • Applicants must be citizens of India.
  • The age should not be less than 17 years on December 31, 2022. Until WBJEE 2022 there is no upper age limit.
  • The applicant should have passed Class 12 as a regular student on a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Computer Technology as mandatory subjects.
  • In Class 12, the aggregate marks should not be less than 50%. 
  • Applicants should have completed either the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) administered by the Council of Architecture (COA) or Paper 2 of JEE Main 2022.

 

WBJEE B.Pharma Eligibility Criteria

In order to take part in WBJEE 2022-23 examination, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set out in the WBJEE 2022-23.  For taking admission in the WBJEE 2022-23 B.Pharma course:

  • Applicants must be citizens of India.

  • The age should not be less than 17 years on December 31, 2022. Until WBJEE 2022 there is no upper age limit.

  • The applicant should have passed Class 12 as a regular student on a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Computer Technology as mandatory subjects.

  • In Class 12, the aggregate marks should not be less than 45%.
