What is Alternating Current
Alternating current (AC) refers to the flow of electric charge that periodically changes direction in a circuit. In an AC system, the current alternates its direction of flow in a repetitive manner, typically sinusoidal in shape. This is in contrast to direct current (DC), where the current flows in only one direction.
