👉 What is CUSAT

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) was established in 1971 as Cochin University and re-organized in 1986 as Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). It is accredited by the A Grade NAAC. Aligned with the All India Technical Education Council (AICTE), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and the National Accreditation Board (NBA). The university campus occupies an area of 180 acres. The university has 9 faculties, 21 centres and 31 schools and departments.

 

👉 CUSAT Eligibility Criteria Indian + NRIs

NRIs students can also appear in CUSAT examination along with the Indian students. Cochin University of Science and Technology has specified the minimum eligibility requirements for CUSAT CAT applicants. On the basis of the rank of the student concerned, the requirements are given the highest priority for the students to follow and apply for courses, such as B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Phil, M.Voc, MCA, B.Sc, M.Sc, B.A.LLB, LLM in various colleges across Kerala.

NRI or Indian candidates are required to pass 10+2 examination from a recognized board or university with required subjects. Indian and NRI Aspirants must have scored at least 50% marks in their qualifying examination. NRI or Indian candidates having any backlog in 10+2 are not eligible to apply. Eligibility for 3-year LLB course is that a candidate must be an employee of the Central Government and be staying within a radius of 30 km from CUSAT, Hikkake campus.

Section 2: Eligibility Criteria for PG Candidates for appearing in CUSAT CAT 2021 is given below: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in the required field. The minimum marks required in the qualifying degree is at least 60%. Note that minimum marks required may differ for each course.

 

👉 CUSAT Important Dates

CUSAT Application process starts in the first week of January and CUSAT exam conducts in the third week of April.

CUSAT Exam Pattern CUSAT CAT is going to contain around 150 questions for all major courses except engineering. CUSAT Engineering exam will contain 250 questions and the exam for Lateral entry NRIs and Indan students will contain 200 questions the exam will be conducted for 3 hours. Each question will be allotted 3 marks for the correct answer and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. CUSAT Questions will be framed as per the syllabus and equal weightage will be given to all topics.

10% of seats are reserved here for the NRIs students.

There are approx 29 colleges affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology accepts the CUSAT score.

There are total no. of 30 CUSAT exam centres in India + foreign. Foreign CUSAT exam centres are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, & Sharjah.
