The Joint Entrance Exam or the JEE Mains are the examination conducted by the national Testing Agency (NTA). Qualifying JEE mains is one of the requirements for admission to some of the prestigious and renowned engineering colleges, including NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and institutions funded by participating State governments. JEE Mains is also an eligibility entrance test for the JEE Advanced exam. The JEE Advanced Exam is a compulsory exam for Entrance to the engineering programs offered by the IITs.

JEE Main is conducted twice a year (January and April) to be admitted to some of India's best engineering colleges.
