Dear Mr. Rizwan, As per the Residential eligibility for DASA / CIWG - You ward need to mandatory study in Gulf Country for 11th and 12th. If this is not done, you will not be eligible to apply for DASA or CIWG category at all.
Now, you will be treated as a normal Indian citizen and you can take admission in all Indian universities but you will not be given an advantage of being NRI.
Thanks,
Team TestprepKart
How can I avail of CIWG quota? Should I apply to DASA quota frist accept and upgrade? Or should I directly apply for CIWG? CIWG quota are given to preferably senior students, is it true? What all precautions should I take during applying if I am interested in NITK only?
No, You can't upgrade. Firstly, apply to the CIWG scheme directly. If you believe your chances of getting admission under CIWG is low, pay the DASA's tuition fee. You can get into the DASA quota also if you fail to get seat in CIWG scheme.
If you get admission under CIWG scheme, the remaining fee will be refunded by DASA authority (Conducting NIT) once the entire registration process is over.
The precautions you have to take while opting the College & Program, select NITK alone. Don't fill up / enter other colleges & programs. Now you have applied to the NITK alone.
If you get admission in NITK, it will be fine. If you don't get admission in NITK with your SAT Score, DASA authority doesn't charge money for that. Your tuition fee which you pay during the registration will be refunded for sure once the entire registration process is finished.
