CIWG - Children's of Indian Workers in Gulf - This CIWG scheme is a blessing for NRI students in Gulf Countries like UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait & Saudi Arabia.
Under CIWG scheme - NRI students can get admission in premium Indian engineering colleges by writing SAT subject Test (valid till 2020-21) & JEE Main Rank (valid from 2021-22). CIWG scheme is a subset of DASA scheme.
CIWG is most important for NRIs in Gulf because only they can take advantage of this scheme unlike other NRIs around the world. Everybody else can only take advantage of DASA scheme. In addition, CIWG category students also need to be a very less fee for entire 4 year degree compared to DASA student.
