TestPrepKart Math Prep · United States
Live classes with 3-5 students in the same Grade 7 band. Same Common Core Grade 7 hub syllabus as 1:1 (7.RP, 7.NS, 7.EE, 7.G, 7.SP), English instruction, and a fixed weekly slot that costs less than private 1:1.
Parents usually want three answers: how many kids share the slot, whether every child still speaks, and how you will know it is working.
This is a shared Grade 7 coaching plan. Same major work as 1:1, with peer practice that keeps cost lower.
Grade 7 hub syllabus: 7.RP proportional relationships and percent, 7.NS rational number operations, 7.EE linear expressions and multi-step equations, 7.G scale/circles/angles, 7.SP sampling and probability, plus school homework support.
Two fixed weekly slots in your US time zone, 40-55 minutes each. Seats are confirmed after the demo.
Unit checks across the year, plus a short weekly parent note with accuracy and the next home practice.
Group classes run on a published weekly time. Your counselor matches you to an open Grade 7 seat in Pacific, Mountain, Central, or Eastern.
A June-start Grade 7 group calendar that tracks proportions, rational numbers, linear equations, then circles/angles and probability. Your live plan is adjusted to school pacing after the demo.

Tentative plan for a June-start Grade 7 group batch (about 94 live classes across 12 months). If your child joins mid-year, we place them in an open seat and rebuild the remaining months after the free demo.
Same Grade 7 hub syllabus as 1:1: proportions, rational numbers, and linear equations with Common Core codes, mastery, and the stumbles we watch for in a small group.
7.RP
7.RP.A
Major
Unit rates now include fractions in both quantities: miles per 1/2 hour becomes miles per hour with care.
Proportional relationships show a constant rate in tables, equations y = kx and graphs through the origin.
Percent problems: tax, tip, markdown, percent increase and decrease. Grade 7 expects flexible methods, not one memorized trick.
Calling every straight line through the origin “proportional” without checking the table, or percent of vs percent change mix-ups.
Parent tip: Receipts and sale tags are free 7.RP practice. Ask them to show the constant before the answer.
7.NS
7.NS.A
Major
Adding and subtracting rational numbers, including negatives, uses number-line and chip models before rules.
Multiply and divide signed numbers. The sign rules must come with meaning, not only a chant.
Word problems with rational numbers mix signs, fractions and decimals in real contexts.
Sign errors under subtraction of negatives, or changing only one sign in a long expression.
Parent tip: Temperature and elevator stories for add/subtract. Have them predict the sign before they compute.
7.EE
7.EE.A
Major
Linear expressions: add, subtract, factor and expand. Equivalent forms make hard problems readable.
Rewriting an expression can reveal meaning: 0.85p is p with a 15% discount.
7.EE.B
Major
Multi-step problems with positive and negative rationals. Estimation and reasonableness checks matter.
Equations and inequalities from word problems, including forms like px + q = r and px + q < r.
Distributing only to the first term, or flipping the inequality sign incorrectly when multiplying by a negative.
Parent tip: Ask them to expand and factor the same expression both ways. Checking by substitution should be automatic.
7.G
7.G.A
Major
Scale drawings: lengths scale by the scale factor; areas scale by its square. Students mix those up often.
Drawing triangles from given conditions: when three lengths make a triangle, and when they do not.
Slicing 3D figures: the cross-section of a cube can be a triangle, rectangle or hexagon depending on the cut.
7.G.B
Major
Circle area and circumference. Knowing which formula answers which question is half the battle.
Angle relationships: vertical, adjacent, complementary, supplementary. Simple equations hide inside diagrams.
Area, volume and surface area problems in real contexts: paint, packaging, aquariums.
Using diameter when the problem gives radius (or the reverse), or assuming every triangle is right.
Parent tip: Measure a round plate once for circumference vs diameter. The π relationship sticks after one real measure.
7.SP
7.SP.A
Major
Samples represent populations only when they are chosen carefully. Bias is a Grade 7 vocabulary word with teeth.
Inferences from random samples: use sample statistics to estimate a population, with appropriate caution.
7.SP.B
Major
Comparing two visual data displays: overlap, center and spread tell different stories.
Compare populations using measures of center and variability, not only who has the higher mean.
7.SP.C
Major
Probability is a number from 0 to 1. Impossible, unlikely, likely and certain sit on that scale.
Experimental probability from relative frequency approaches theoretical probability with more trials.
Probability models: uniform and non-uniform. List outcomes and assign probabilities that sum to 1.
Compound events: tree diagrams and organized lists for and/or situations.
Treating a tiny biased sample as the whole population, or thinking probability must be a percent only.
Parent tip: Coin/spinner experiments with a tally chart. Compare experimental results to the theoretical prediction.

We coach small-group live classes for Grade 7 students across the United States on US school and Common Core pacing. We also specifically support NRI and Indian-origin families living in the US.
Lessons follow your child’s US school topics, homework, and state-style practice. English instruction stays the default so school language and coaching language match.
TestPrepKart is based in India and works with Indian faculty who teach US Grade 7 math online. Many NRI students find the first principles easier to grasp when the tutor can explain patiently in a familiar teaching style, while still staying locked to the US curriculum.
You get US-aligned Grade 7 coaching plus tutors who understand how Indian-origin learners often build number sense. That mix helps when a child is strong in drills but needs clearer word-problem language for US school tests.
Core coaching for the year. If your child later needs a private topic pack, that is a separate option.

A live session so your child feels the teaching style. You leave with seat options, schedule choices, and a written plan.
From $14 USD per class on a 12-month plan, about $1456 per year at two classes a week. Your counselor confirms open seats in the free demo.
3 to 5 students in the same Grade 7 band. Batches stay small so every child still answers aloud and gets homework notes.
Yes. The year plan follows the Grade 7 hub syllabus and quarters: Jun-Aug proportions and percent, Sep-Oct rational number operations, Nov-Jan linear expressions and equations, Feb-May scale/circles/angles then sampling and probability.
Same Grade 7 curriculum and English instruction. You share the slot with a few peers, so the per-class price is lower. Private 1:1 is still available if you want a dedicated tutor.
Yes, when a seat opens. After the demo we place your child in the best-fit batch and rebuild the remaining months around school pacing.
English, for US school students.
Yes. We coach Grade 7 math for US school students nationwide, and we specifically support NRI and Indian-origin families in the United States. Our Indian faculty teach US curriculum topics in English, which helps many NRI students understand basic principles more clearly while staying aligned to Common Core and school pacing.
