DASA CIWG Basics
What is DASA
DASA is known as Direct Admissions of Students Abroad. DASA scheme was launched by Ministry of Human Resource Development, India (MHRD) for NRIs (Non-Residential Indians)/PIO (Persons of Indian Origin)/OCI (Overseas Citizen of India)/Foreign Nationals who want to take admissions in the premier Institutes of India.
Admissions will be provided in UG & PG Programs for Engineering, architecture design, management courses through Scores/Rank obtained in JEE Main, GRE/GMAT entrance exams.
In other words, MHRD gave an opportunity to all the Indian citizens to pursue graduation who are residing abroad. Hence, DASA Scheme made it easier for the engineering aspirants to apply for the UG (Under Grad.) Courses in NITs, IIITs, SPAs & CFIs of India, apart from the IITs.
What is CIWG
CIWG stands for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries. CIWG is a scheme started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, goverment of India for the children of Indian expatriates (NRIs / PIOs / OCIs) in Gulf countries looking for admissions at the premier Indian Institutes (NITs / CFTIs / IIITs...SPAs..etc) through the DASA scheme.
