2. Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi
Founded in 1961 as the College of Engineering in Delhi, the Institute has later proclaimed a National Importance Institution under the 'Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963' and renamed 'Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.

3. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai
