What is JEE Main paper 1, Why students take this, Attach with NRIs scenario
JEE Main has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may opt for either or both of them. Both papers contain multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 is for admissions in B.E./B.Tech courses and is conducted only online.
JEE Main Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and is conducted only offline. Paper 2 is also known as JEE For Architecture (B.Arch).
From January 2020 an additional Paper - 3 is being introduced for B.Planning courses separately.
JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year. Paper-1 is of three hours duration and involves thirty multiple-choice (single-correct) questions in each of the three subjects (physics, chemistry, and maths).
4 marks are awarded for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers.
When JEE Main Paper-1 2021 will be held
JEE Main Paper 1 is conducted twice a year in the month of January and April, Due to covid-19 Corona, it scheduled in April 2020.

JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years. The exam will be conducted twice a year, they may appear in both the attempts. The attempt for an academic year will be considered as One. |

JEE Main Paper 1 Exam pattern
Paper-1 is of three hours time and comprising of thirty multiple-choice (single-correct) questions in all the three subjects (physics, chemistry, and maths).
4 marks are given for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers.

JEE Main Paper 1 Important Dates
JEE Main 2020 second attempt will be conducted on first week of January & second week of April.
The entrance exam will be through online mode via Computer Based Test (CBT) mode excluding the drawing section of B.Arch (Paper 2). The first attempt has been conducted from January 6 to 9, 2021.
JEE Main 2021 Application Date
National Testing Agency started the process for application form of JEE Main 2021 (April session) on February 7. The final date to submit the application form was March 12, 2021.
However, the last date to pay the application fee was March 12, 2021, till 11.50 pm. Applicants must take note that the JEE Main 2021 application form is available only in online mode.
All the mandatory details have to be submitted in the application form. The application process for the January session was open from September 3 to October 10, 2020.
