Important Guidelines for JEE Main 2021 (Paper 1 & 2) on Exam Day
1. Keep your admit card in your belongings as without admit card you will not be allowed to sit in the examination. Make sure that you have reached that examination centre, which is prescribed in the admit card and on a given time.
2. The most important and essential guideline is that candidate should reach their examination centre at least 30mins before the prescribed timings so that they can easily complete all the formalities.
3. Candidates are not allowed to take any kind of paper apart from admit card and photocopies of identity proof. Apart from this calculator, electronic watches, mobile phones, or any kind of other device are not allowed in the examination hall.
4. The candidate who is having a disability and needs scribe to complete the exam should carry a certificate which is attested from the PwD officer.
5. Candidates should carry a photocopy of requested documents such (Passport, Adhar card, voter card, or any other) and need to be submitted when invigilator demands. Do write your roll number on these photocopies.
6. Once the candidate seat is allotted in the examination centre, he/she must sit as per their roll number. And once the exam started candidate is not allowed to leave his/her seat.
7. In the examination, the hall candidate will be provided Pen/Pencil and a rough paper sheet. Candidate needs to write their roll number on the rough sheet and submit this rough sheet at the end of the examination.
8. No carry bag and eatable will be allowed in the examination hall.
Exam Instructions for JEE Main 2021
1. Make sure that you are required to do a signature twice on the attendance sheet, firstly at the starting of the exam, and secondly, at the time when you are giving the answer sheet back to the invigilator. A candidate is also required to inert their left thumb impression on the attendance sheet.
2. In the examination, the hall candidate will be provided Pen/Pencil and a rough paper sheet. Candidate needs to write their roll number on the rough sheet and submit this rough sheet at the end of the examination.
3. When a candidate has taken the seat, he/she need to login on the screen and read all the instructions carefully before the beginning of the examination.
4. The total duration of this examination is 3 hours, and you are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam.
5. Paper-II candidates are allowed to bring their pencils, geometry boxes, erasers, and color pencils. Candidates should be quite watchful while drawing because candidates will not be approved for the usage of any watercolor on the Drawing sheet.
Things which are not allowed to Carry in JEE Main 2021 Test Centers
We have listed some items which are not allowed in the examination center. So candidates should ensre that they should not take these unnecessary items along with you. Following is the detailed list -:
1. In an examination hall, no baggage is allowed, either its carry bag or any other kind of bag. If by mistake you have taken it, then it needs to be left outside your examination hall and exam center are not responsible for any kind of loss.
2. Candidates are not approved to wear any type of accessories, watches, or jewelry in the examination hall.
3. No eatables and drinking material is allowed in the examination hall.
4. Candidates are advised not to carry any kind of electronic gadgets such as calculators, mobile phones, headphones, electronic watches, or cameras, etc. because these items are strictly prohibited within the examination hall.
5. For JEE Main Paper-1, candidates are not required to carry any kind of stationery items such as pens, erasers, pencils, or any kind of other material which is not allowed in the examination hall. Paper-1 pen, pencil, and rough paper will be provided to candidates.
6. For JEE Main Paper-2, candidates are allowed to carry their geometry boxes, erasers, and color pencils.
Code of Conduct for Candidates during JEE Main 2021
1. In an examination hall, candidates are required to remain silent and concentrate on their particular questions. Any kind of discussion or any gesture is considered as bad conduct.
2. In an examination hall, if any candidate is found using any unfair material and does any kind of unfair practices, his/her exam will be immediately canceled. And sometimes as per the nature of the offense, it may lead to cancellation of examination for a specific period.
3. If a checked candidate should be seated on his/her allotted seat, if found on another seat his examination will be canceled immediately.
4. Apart from the allowed material in the examination hall candidate should not carry anything.
JEE Main 2021 Dress Code (What to Wear and What Not To Wear)
We have listed some important points that should be the best dress code. But there is no hard and fixed rule from JEE authorities.
What to wear:
- Candidate must wear plain, simple, and relaxed clothing so that you should feel comfortable while giving an exam.
- Female candidates should make their hairstyle simple so that they can concentrate more on exams as it can lead to lengthy frisking sessions.
What should not be wear:
- Candidates should avoid wearing any kind of jewelry or any other accessories.
- Candidates should avoid wearing clothing that has deep pockets and too many pockets.
- Do not wear sunglasses, scarf’s and fancy stoles, etc
FAQ JEE Main Guidelines 2021:
Answer 1: For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates.
Answer2 :Yes diploma holders can apply for JEE Main. However, they can write the exam only for qualifying for JEE Advanced. This category of candidates will not be granted admission into IITs, NITs or CFTIs.
Answer 3 : Candidates have to secure a minimum percentage in order to be eligible for the JEE Main 2021 exam. Details regarding the same are given below: For general category candidates – minimum 75% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/PWD candidates – 65% marks in aggregate. General: 80-89 OBC: 70-74 SC: 50-54 ST: 40-44
Answer 4 : NTA has not specified any dress code for JEE Main 2021 . So, appearing students can wear whatever they wish and comfortable in.
Answer 5 :Arch and B. Planning. Candidates will be asked to take the test in the computer-based mode for mathematics and aptitude test and the drawing test will be in pen and paper-based mode.
